ethanol in fuel=rusty exhaust. The by product of burning alcohol is water vapor. There also is no nickle in the stainless anymore. You should see this rusty magnaflow under my fox. And they wont replace it because its not full of holes, yet.
Whaaaaaat? Ethanol has nothing to do with the outside of the exhaust...inside, maybe, but I doubt that even. How about the fact that he lives in Clearwater Fl...right on the ocean, all that lovely salt spray wouldn't be a factor???

I would like to see these videos please.
Here are two sound clips of the FR Touring. Put your headphones on and volume up. Set the youtube screen to 1080P.

At low RPMs

ethanol rusts from the inside out, yes. Thats why you always coat headers inside and out. I agree his damage is from the Florida humidity, but if its rusty outside, I would bet its rusty inside.

Can't believe I'm hearing the Touring exhaust is loud. I could barely hear the Ford Racing Sport in car unless the windows were down and I have great hearing.

What you are saying is that you think it has rusted all the way through? In two weeks? I'm betting not. Just surface rust from the surroundings. The pipes will be tight for a long time, even if they are ugly.

LOVE my FRPP Touring exhaust; it REALLY adds personality. I'm 62 . And no, I'm not hard-of-hearing ;). Cannot imagine going back to stock, but understand some folks' desire for quiet.

It was probably rusted before it was ever installed at Flat Rock. Lousy incoming parts QC. And crappy welds!

My car had the same rust as Robb had and my car has only been in Florida less than a month. Of which I have actually been driving it since 1/2/2015

By the way, I purchased robe's exhaust and picked it up and had it installed a few hours later. For me it's perfect...

Yes the FRPP Touring sounds great, and I would have kept it on if it wasn't my daily driver. The low RPM tone was too deep and made me turn my base GT radio up quite a bit. Conversations with your significant other will require a lot of "what did you say"? LOL that may be a good thing though! :clap2:

I have the FR Touring Cat back and for me is just perfect. Not too loud and certainly no drone whatsoever. At highway speed is quiet. I would suggest to everyone to find someone nearby, if they can, that has the system to allow you to hear it in person that way you may have a feel for what it really sounds like instead of taking peoples word on it. Hope that helps!
Hi Alex! Will probably head over to Quaker Steak on Sunday, and will have to hear your car run, this time.

It's funny how some are holding up well and some aren't. You should remove it, sand blast and paint it. It looks great and mine is holding up well. 2 1/2 cans of Krylon high heat paint and you're done! It's takes about 20 minutes to take off the exhaust.
