I'm new here so forgive me if i am not up on the protocol---

I am thinking of adding a "block" to my clutch pedal so i don't have to sit so close to the wheel (I am on the "short" side). any suggestions or thoughts? Many thanks!

Point your toes like a ballerina.

Yes there are blocks aplenty.
You might try using the search function and looking in the topical section...

Finally managed to get my hands on a clutch pedal extender in the U.K. (thanks @Corporate_Rebel) :sunglasses:

I removed the anodising and added a brushed finish, and as it’s going on a RHD (so the bolt heads are now on show rather than hidden), I also replaced the black steel bolts with some stainless bolts that I polished up, and spaced the top bolt out as it was hidden down the bore.

It matches the existing pedals quite well, along with the aftermarket foot rest, and the other anodised bits that I had previously done in two tone :

Now that I’m driving the M1 daily I sure miss my tune from the “19. Don’t get me wrong, I love this car and it’s never going anywhere but the shift points for the transmission are just so different now that I am driving it daily compared to the other one. First thing I’m doing when I get to Florida is putting a tune on it. I’ve got plenty of time to decide who it’s going to be.

What did you do for a spare for your Mach 1 or are you just using the inflation kit? If you went the spare tire route is there a specific tire/rim combo I should try to find? Ford dealer?

Just make sure you get the right one. If you have a regular mach 1 then order the mach 1 or the PP1 spare, if you have an HP mach, then get the GT350 spare. There is enough difference in tire height between the two that if you get the wrong one you can damage the torsen diff if you put it on the rear.

Thanks again. I do not have the HP option on mine. I just ordered the tire and rim! Any other advice on the Mach 1 would be great. I’m new to the Mustang and Ford! After driving the Mach I was sold such a fun car to drive. I’m a former GM and Mopar guy.

Are you running the HP size rear tire? It's a 315/30/19 if you are then get the GT350 spare.

Thank you! That’s exactly what I was looking for and will order.
When I ordered and pressed the "Mach 1" option they emailed me and asked me specifically which one I had. Super easy transaction.

just be aware when you do this the air compressor has to find a new home and the floor cover does poke a little bit. Not much. No visible gaps but the cover is resting a bit on the wheel.

That was my experience: they e-mailed me to discuss tires sizes in-use, before shipping any products. I think that's to prevent any of the fitment and operational issues @I Bleed Ford Blue mentioned: HP vs. non-HP, factory vs. aftermarket, etc.

My cover was up quite a bit to. In their instructions, they mention cutting a circle of a certain size from the grey sound-deadening material. But in my example, that was too small. The trunk cover was not flush. Using the cardboard disc which came with the kit, I cutout a circle that large, about an inch or two, 2.5 - 5 cm in diameter larger than the instructions. Placing the cardboard disc/cut insulation down (so as not to mark the paint), then the spare, then the cover, things were just right. The small scissor jack is left outside of all that, in the trunk and wrapped in a microfiber towel.

That's a known problem if the spare is 155/70, it is bit bigger and doesn't fit into the trunk well very nicely and then touches the trunk floor. I got 135/70 R19 tyre on the spare wheel from them and it fits fine with room around to spare and doesn't raise the floor.

See here: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...our-mach-1-today.171200/page-128#post-3711671

Also, the 135/70 R19 tyre is a close match to HP sizes - 0.8% difference to 305/30 and 0% difference to 315/30.
To non-HP the difference is bigger -2.2% to 255/40 and -4.7% to 275/40. But it wouldn't cause an issue for brief spare wheel use.

So make sure to get 135/70 tyre on it no matter what version of Mach 1 you have. Possibly this depends on their stock, though.
