What did you do to your Mach 1 today

I believe it was part of the security package which was rolled into the 700A package. The security package consists of the wheel locks, locking center console, and locking glove box.

I sure hope the security package wheel locks are better quality than the cheap regular lug nuts.

I also hope they are better than the locking nuts that came with my '92 Tbird sport. After only 3 times rotating tires all the locking nuts cracked/broke. (And I never let a shop touch them so I know they were never over torqued). Hopefully the OEM ones have improved.

I’m just met a guy out in our back alley just now who is having his SS 1LE loaded up onto a flatbed truck because last night he had all of his wheels and tires stolen from our garage where I live. He had wheel locks and all that good stuff. He came down in the morning to go to work and it was up on cinderblocks. That takes a lot of time. That being said what kind of wheel locks are you guys using on your M1? I’m moving soon but it’s still months away so I want to get something on those wheels

I am using Gorilla wheel locks that came with this package (but you can buy only them separately)

you can buy them on Amazon too. I actually bought a McGard wheel kit for my explorer on Amazon, it came with 16 solid lug nuts and 4 wheel locks in black for about a buck 20. that way you get locks and solid lugs to ditch the crap factory capped lugs

Project farm did a test on locks , the mcgards did not do well. The video points out how Harbor freight now sell a socket that removes most of the locks.

I ended up taking my MCcgard off and going with advanced. I did not like how the mcgards stick out so far on the wheels I am running,

Hey Brett - I have the locks from the security package still if you want those. I switched out to all black Ford Performance lugs (same lugs just black) but now I'm rethinking putting locks back on.

Same. I have a set brand new never installed. I told the dealer not to install them on my 22 GT, so they threw them in the glove box...

McGard do a different type to the video.

It’s not pretty, but they (Ford) supply an alternative McGard type on the euro cars (loose, in the trunk).

I've never heard or seen the advanced locks before, they look like the way to go if you have to buy locks anyway. But I already had the McGards and they do work better than the cheap ass Chinese crap like the Dormans, I'll stick with them until I have to buy new locks or new wheels.

Added the 2-point G trac brace to the front today. Tested on some off ramps on the highway and I definitely notice the front end feels less lazy.

I don't like carbon. Some look like they are having an allergic reaction and are swollen. Some don't do heating. There's like 45 vendors.

It does not have the heating feature. Which doesn't bother me, because I grew up a poor kid in MN and just dealt with frozen steering wheels half the year.

What kind of paint did you use ? I installed the same brace plus the stop the hop starter kit last Sunday. The rear braces already have rust on the welds after 6 days of rainy weather. Match's my subframe.

Yeah, mine rusted out on my 15 gt but I’ve had better luck when I paint them.
