Does a skateboard have a good suspension? I mean after all, that is what the MOCHE is - it’s just a skateboard platform with a large battery in the middle…What is it with Ford and f***ing up rear suspensions? Who are they employing for their suspension engineers? I dont get it. I rode in my dad's Mach E back seat this weekend and it was atrocious, incredibly uncomfortable suspension. In the front its not nearly as bad but you can still feel the whole car just jiggling and oscillating and it never settles down. It felt like it was riding on the bumpstops the whole time and instead of dampers it had cinder blocks between the springs and chassis.
Tuning wise it's not really all that different than an f150 with a loaded bed full of say 1800 lbs. The stroke is probably way too short and spring rate very inadequate.Does a skateboard have a good suspension? Believe it or not my sister's 2012 Hyundai Accent hatchback feels like an S-class compared to this thing. I honestly thought there was something wrong with it but apparently it's a common complaint. Shame because otherwise it would be a perfectly adequate and spacious family hauler.Tuning wise it's not really all that different than an f150 with a loaded bed full of say 1800 lbs. My dad's kia was also like that. Sitting in the rear was almost a jackhammer.
the vast majority of "enthusiast" buyers (let alone the public) have NO IDEA what good suspension feels like. I don't know if Honda fixed the Civic R, but BMW majorly screwed up the suspension on several recent M-cars. There's just no excuse for doing suspension badly. The guys defending its suspension tuning on the forums generally fall in the "it's a mustang! it's not supposed to be comfortable!" or "it's a sports suv, it's supposed to be sporty!" Very cringey.
And my closest E85 pump is over an hour away. The 3.0 is alive and well, it's the only engine option in the explorer ST and it's also used in the bronco raptor. The 3.0 can handle quit a lot, there are plenty who are running 650+ awd hp on an Ex ST with bigger turbos and bigger injectors and pump. There is even someone who has run a 10.59 with one. That's hauling ass for a 5K lb SUV
I blame the avocado toast. Once you go down that path, there is no coming back from enshittification. It's in your blood.but the marketing nerds would rather cheapen the Mustang name by spreading it around
And truck, rememberWhere’s the rumored Corvette SUV?
you would have to quiet the exhaust and make it a luxury performance car
What, why? If you want a luxury performance sedan, you get a BMW, Merc, or maybe Lexus. This is for people who want to comfortably seat two more people with all (or most) of the fun and theater of a Mustang.you would have to quiet the exhaust and make it a luxury performance car
