I am also looking at switching my Mach to a steel pan. The 2024 pan does have the same 10qt capacity as the composite. The pickup tube is different than the Gen 2 from information I have collected, 3mm larger at the pump stub. The part number from Ford crosses to 2022 GT500 pickup. When the 2024 pan arrives I am going to compare to the composite pan and Gen 2 pan. I will also compare the pickup tubes and oil pumps. I will be comparing all of these and checking fitment on the Gen 3 Coyote I have on a stand waiting to go in my Fox Body.

If the 24 truly uses a GT500 oil pickup tube then you’ll need to swap pumps as well. Our stock pumps use a pickup that’s integrated into the plastic pan and a slip fit at the pump. The GT500 pickup bolts to the pump as a separate piece.

You are correct. The 2024 pan arrived today. I’m still waiting on the Gen2 and Gen4 pickups. Once the arrive I will get measurements and compare everything. If the pickups are the same depths/height I would see where Gen 3 guys could use the Gen 3 to Gen 2 swap pickup tube from PBH. I have one of those as well to compare.

I've noticed the same pattern of leakage on mine, so I too made an appointment and got in today. Technician said because its the 2nd drain plug that I've tried and still have an issue they are replacing the pan as well. I've read other places its a known issue, so I wasn't too surprised. Back ordered 3 weeks, so these must be popping up everywhere.

I havent forgotten about this, all of the parts finally arrived to start getting measurements and photos. should finish up over the weekend. So far the '24 pump, pan and pickup will fit the Gen3 motors. You would need to swap out everything as a package though, the Gen 3 oil pump port is larger than the Gen 2 and bolt pattern angle is different. Oil pan gasket/windage tray is the same as Gen 2. Oil pump gears are the same for Gen 2, Gen 3 and Gen 4 oil pumps.

When you have a chance, can you take a side by side picture of the inside of the composite and the steel oil pans?

Measurements to best of my ability. Pan heights does not include gasket/windage tray thickness to be fair with measuring height of Gen 3 pan on the same flat surface.
Gen 2 Pan:
Rear sump height- 6 9/16”
Front pan height- 2 7/16”
Pickup to deck height- 6 1/2”

Gen 3 Pan:
Rear sump height- 7”
Front sump height- 2 11/16”

Gen 4 Pan:
Rear sump height- 7 1/16”
Front sump height- 2 7/16”
Pickup to deck height- 6 7/8”

Last photos show the difference between the the pumps and pickup orifice for the Gen 2 and Gen 4 pumps.

What do the baffling and windage trays look like in each?

So overall going with the Gen 4 pan with net a steel oil pan with same capacity as the composite pan. It will require the add the Gen 4 oil pump and pickup to get the correct oil pickup to pan clearance. Will also need to use Gen 2/4 oil pan gasket.

Windage tray is integrated into the composite pan. It is near identical to the tray that is integrated into the Gen 2/Gen 4 pan gasket.

The tray on the left was from the Gen 3 pan, I had to drill out the plastic holding it to the pan to allow the pan to sit flat on the bench.
