Each time I try to log into Mustang7G, I get a warning about the "Apidevst.com" outgoing trojan.

Needless to say, I have stopped logging into it until I have an explanation that it is safe. I am hoping that someone from this forum knows the administrator of that site and can provide an update as I am reluctant to directly reach out to them.

I am using Malwarebytes, Premium Build 4.6.13.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

I have also had some wierd DNS routing happen when I try to visit mustang7g.com. I am sometimes routed to a spam website instead.

I am guessing they have bad ads. Reported it a month ago they haven't fixed it.

Normally if you reload the page it works just fine.

If I got such messages, my first thought would be to perform a malware scan. (I always first assume I potentially have an unknown malware or virus.) I use the free version of Spybot Search & Destroy. It found spyware/malware I didn't know resided on my computer, and of course like most hidden devious malwares, you may not know it exists, as I did not. I use their immunization feature to protect against known malwares, for if I were to access a site again Search & Destroy would protect my system.

The second thing, equally (or maybe more important) is to have a good virus protection program running. If you are running Windows, Defender is provided part of the Windows package. Of course there are other great virus protection programs like McAfee or Nortons.

Once you have run those two applications (malware prevention and virus protection), then attempt to access Mustang7G again.

I've been seeing same.

If I get the mock site, I close that window and open another until I get the real site, often on the next try.

The major ad networks do their best to limit bad ads, but invariably bad ads will make it through.

Many of them are using virustotal, which will let you see the ratings of the various anti-virus/anti-malware applications: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/domain/apidevst.com

Stay vigilant, and never click on an ad spot telling you that you have some kind of infection.

Mustang7G looks to be safe: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/domain/mustang7g.com
Wait for microsoft to call you and tell you you have a virus then give then remote acecss and your credit card info :) Joking THEY WILL NEVER CALL YOU.

The same thing was happening here previously. I am guessing the mods need to clean it up.

Maybe the word will get to Mustang7G and they can fix it. We do not have this problem with Mustang6G.

It's a shame as I was contributing info about convertibles while considering a new Mustang.

If I don't put www in front half the time it redirected to nasty porn site.

Somebody is domain squat,/hijacking me thinks.

One of the root servers just up and disappeared a week+ ago. I'm guessing the peeps were able to contaminate some zones with opportunistic hijacks.
