all good with the cars @WD Pro @2021 Mach 1 ?
All good thanks. A few days ago the "change oil soon" light came on. The first time it came on was just before 6k miles (I baby'ed the car for the first 1k miles). This one was just before 10k miles. GT101 had me in and out quickly...oil, filter and new magnetic plug.

Also, Lee looked at my air filter and said the hood scoop is really working. I asked him how so? He said typically we see air filters mainly dirty on the bottom half where the stock air flows in. However, he said mine is uniformly dirty suggesting it was receiving meaningful air coming in on top via the bonnet scoop. I'll change it soon to a new one.

Today, I went for a ride. Stopped completely, turned off traction control in Sport+ and lit 'em up. So much fun.

I checked my tyre tread depths with my new measuring device. 6mm on the fronts and 5mm on the rears. That's with over 10k on them.

I’m at 18k with 4.5mm average so unless you plan to make some street art you will be good until the 20Ks.
I'm on PS4S's, you?

I have a cheap Amazon one. @WD Pro takes things to the F1 level, world-class. I wish I had a quarter of his skill set.

Amazon, i think between them and cases of Monster that's pretty much my recycling bin contents. Yeah it is good to see what's happened next with his car, i even washed mine this week but got more on me than on the car. Being crap at washing cars then having a crapo brush, honestly a guide dog could have washed it better and more uniformly .

mmmm intriguing, bet it's on his (and others) list of purchases / search history :cwl:

You all talking about me when I’m not here … ? :giggle:

This is correct :like:

It’s a Sealey tool if anyone is interested (you can see the name easily on the full video) so it should be reasonably cheap and readily available - Machine Mart is a big Sealey reseller.

Personally I don’t have one, I don’t really see the point - you’ve got a good idea what condition your tyres are in, long before running them to the legal limits where parts of mm’s suddenly become important. I understand why the garage needs to be ‘accurate’ :like:

If you want to, just by a digital vernier - much more universal and it will still do that job if needed (and I have one of those) :like: A cheap one from Aldi or Lidl is a great tool to have in your collection and probably good enough for 99% of home usage :like:

I actually do have one lol Not so much for checking the tyres I’m using but I’ve always changed cars quite often and had spare wheels/tyres to sell, also used to be heavily into track days and had various sets of wheels and tyres I rotated, always good to know exactly what life’s left :)
Miss my little cup!

Couple of weeks ago I had my driver's side rear caliper handbrake mechanism ever so politely seize up and almost catch fire. Fitted a new caliper and new discs and pads both sides and I also fitted some Koni active dampers I've had sitting aroujd for a few weeks. Needs a good wash now as it's been covered in s*** since my camping trip, but lack of motivation has prevented such a wash from happening. Maybe I'll get round to that at some point this week

Well, I don’t have a properly running car and have been looking at c63s and V8 Vantages but that doesn’t get in the way of a mod or two now does it?
Sick. Yes, I’m very sick, help me…….
