I bought a mach1 in may. My first upgrades were a DSS one piece aluminum driveshaft, and DSS rear axle assemblies, in preparation for adding boost. After approx 300 miles, both axle assemblies where spewing grease. The lower boot passenger side, and the upper boot driver side. I discoverd this when changing out the wheels. Needless to say, i was shocked that both axles had failed within 45 days of install. I hadnt even driven it hard(and boost not added yet). THe driveshaft shop offered to send me replacements. No way i was spending another $590 to install their axles on my car again. I asked if they would help with install costs since their product was obviously defective. They said thats not their policy. So im out $590 for the install. I bought a set of gforce axles and had them installed. I shipped the defective axles back to DSS and after about a month i finally recieved my refund. Thankfully Lethal Performance knows what good customer service is. THe driveshaft shop does not give a F. I also have a vibration from 50-60mph in the new driveshaft from DSS. Im not even dealing with them, ill just save up some money and buy another brand. i will never have any DSS parts on any of my cars again.

DSS is trash. You should see their facility. It’s a pig sty of a joke.
Yeah there was a whole slew of Camaro guys that had self destructing DSS carbon fiber driveshafts plus another thread of guys who did the DSS 9ā€ conversion and had nothing but problems.

I’ve had my GForce Outlaw axles on my Camaro for years with zero issue at anywhere from 830 to 1059 WHP the whole time.. not exactly an easy life lol.

Yeah G-Force is top notch. I believe they are also ISO9001+ certified.

Are you planning on drag racing, launching on sticky tires, or 1000 WHP? The factory drive shaft and axles can handle quite a bit, especially on street tires where traction will give way, long before the OEM components will. One piece aluminum driveshafts seem to always have vibration issues. ( I had a Shaftmasters on my 2017, never could get it right).

You can have quality issues with any brand. My dss axles and carbon DS have been perfect. Been making well over 1000whp for several years. Had 2 gforce DS, one vibrated really hard and the other one broke. It is what it is.

You are the 11.87% of the lucky ones. That can happen as well.

I love my QA1 CF 1 piece drive shaft. No NVH, makes the car feel much more responsive, instant connection between throttle and forward accelleration. No inexpensive but quality rarely is. Plus it’s sexy AF.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anyone breaking a QA1 carbon fiber DS. I’m sure someone has somewhere of course but pretty impressive track record from what I’ve seen. Been thinking of trying one myself.

^^^ This - all you need to do is search DSS on google and you'll find a lot of complaints about their products not just recent but even from a few years back across many vehicle platforms...

Another vote for QA1, I have never heard a bad thing about them or their driveshafts. I don't own one but it's on my wish list.
