Just like driveshafts where you can find a bunch of guys on the forums that broke them running only 10's or 11's and some guys take them way past that
Which was my "joke". Talented drivers can launch without breaking stuff. The untalented do hamfisted things and earn repair bills.

Sure but that's why the carrier bearing support exists, yes? $400 vs $$$$ for a shaft?

I wonder when drag racing will start awarding points for smooth starts instead of just dropping the clutch and hoping it doesn't exhibit uncontrolled rapid disassembly.
I don’t have a clutch… 🤣. A bearing support doesn’t save a sheared shaft FYI… ;)

Again, CoryS was 9.13 in the quarter at 148(?) if I recall, and he had the factory 2 piece on sticky tires, full weight car.
Non-pd car. Makes a lot less low end torque…

I have no prepped drag passes on mine but I have stock axles and stock 2 piece drive shaft. I beat on it pretty good on drag radials and I am over 700wheel for almost 10K miles now (admittedly, not all of it on DR's). Not saying they may be on borrowed time, but so far so good. The guy I bought my Whipple from runs up in Canada in a drag series up there outside of Toronto. He had a season and a half on stock axles running 9's, switched to 1400hp drag axles and on the 4th run broke the drivers side. It really is kind of a craps shoot.
You won't break anything spinning the tires. All depends on the application, if you don't have any traction you can get away with stock parts.

He was a TVS VMP Gen3R, with 850-ish whp. He had some torque, my man.
My apologies, I thought he was Procharger.

Yup my old dss DS vibrated so much I almost wanted to keep it cause the woman would always be horny by the time we stopped. :cwl:

Seriously though, after that thing and their shitty axles, never again will I recommend their products. QA1 and GeForce FtW!

My DSS drivers axle skeeted some grease on the dyno. Looked under last night and there was another drop on the exhaust after driving it.

I also have a few grand in DSS C7 Z06 stuff living with me in perpetuity because the CF prop shaft and "500m" differential stubs were both discontinued so quickly that no one will buy them.

I am gonna have to put Gforce ones in so I can forget about DSS and stop praying they all get rectal cancer.

Oh don't forget I ordered a custom CF driveshaft for my GTO that was 8-10 weeks out. They forgot to tell me after 10 weeks they didn't want to make it.
