Sounds ok at idle... A-little poppy/buzzy on acceleration though.

listen with headphones: 10:20

I like it. I think it only sounds buzzy when they have the camera close to the tailpipe.

I actually like that...but I don't know if I could deal with that every day. LOL.

I still don't like it. I actually like it less after hearing more of it.

I wish I was wrong or felt differently. Still think I'm going with RIP Tuning's full exhaust system or the Touring Borla axle-back exhaust. Of course, I want to hear more from those too, before pulling the trigger.

I'm conflicted about this exhaust. It sounds good, if it was on a Focus or Fiesta I'd think it was awesome, but I don't think the sound matches this car. And when they said it's probably too loud for a daily driver, that automatically removes it from my consideration. Plus since they said they were running it without a tune, I'm sure that's why it's crackling and popping. If it was running right I'm sure most of that would go away sadly. RIP and Ford Racing Touring are still my favorites. Thanks for linking this better video though Zach!

Its never going to sound too good. You're just going to have to find an exhaust you can live with

It's a turbo 4... It's going to sound like a turbo 4 no matter what you do. If you want the sound that a Mustang "should" make, then you should buy the GT...

IMO the catted version of this exhaust is the best sounding one so far. The catless version is horrible though.

Exactly.. The car sounds good with an exhaust, it just doesn't sound like a V8. Sooner or later everyone will have to get over it.

I absolutely agree. Never going to get away from that.

Though, even for a turbo 4 the ecoboost doesn't sound great and I think that the integrated head design is partially to blame. The ST has the same problem with buzzing and rasp in my opinion. With the right exhaust mazdaspeeds with their 2.3 turbo were capable of more satisfying sounds than this (and also capable of sounding terrible).

The game is still early though, and video rarely does true justice to an exhaust.

The stock setup looks really chunky, I'd go with a turbo-back exhaust just for the weight savings alone. As far as sound goes, not for me, I need something more DD friendly.

This was my Mazdaspeed 3 with Corksport Catless Divided DP, Test pipe, and HKS Catback.

I've never came across a Mazdaspeed that sounded terrible. One of the best sounding turbo 4's IMO.

My favorite, maybe because I heard it in person... Is still the touring catback. Sounds awesome in person.

I heard a few, but they were usually due to "custom" jobs or some other terrible decision. I was catless with CP-e single exit on my ms6. Never thought to take a video of it, but it was absolutely fantastic. My ms3 was only catless, but even that had a nice enough sound.

Here's to hoping we get some more/better options for the ecoboost.
