clicked over 40k the miles on the clock, 40000.1 to be precise. Just trying to drive through the tank of fuel in there that i hope is bad hence my throttle hesitation or of course it could be the filters haven't been changed since it left the factory.

found a loose clamp on the pipe from airbox to throttle body and took it for a quick spin. Stumble after gear change / applying throttle still there so still pinning hope it's a crap tank of fuel. Clamp needed tightening so that was at least a good find.

It will be a while as I don't want to risk the car off the road over summer (summer ... ? lol), I have read that this job can be a pain in the arse depending on how stubborn the old bushes want to be when they come out. Some people have had to resort to drilling / burning the rubber centre out, cutting the steel outer and then peeling the shell out ...

I might save it as a winter job and do it when I clean up under the arches ready for next year.

I also need to source or make a tool to fit / remove these bushes - at least some of the money I saved on the purchase price can be put towards that

I'm looking forward to seeing what a difference they make as what made my mind up on getting them was working under the car - even with the weight of the car on its wheels, you can pull / twist the toe link and visibly see the outer toe link bush deflecting.

It's also interesting to see that BMR alter their setup guidelines depending on whether or not these bushes are fitted - they recommend less toe on the rear when they are fitted (I guess to compensate for the lack of toe change that the standard bush allows to happen). Ref note 3 :

Interesting what you observed whilst working under the car. Maybe I'll upgrade my suspension after the summer. I keep flip flopping in my mind about it.

6 year service yesterday all good really. Need to get in for a air con service and brake fluid change as recommended but might save that for MOT time in a few months
