Anything I can do in advance to lessen the load on install day? Was thinking of doing my plugs and 170 therm but think a lot of the work to get to the therm is gonna be redundant.

Wengerd said I can set the 6510s to .026 and that will work while I'm stock and once I have boost.

If you are going to be driving the car for awhile still before installing the kit, I don't think doing anything now is really worth it, just wait until the car is down. Doing plugs now isn't going to save you much time at all, doing the thermostat now doesn't make sense just to put it back together, adding coolant, burping the system, only to do it again when installing the kit.. just wasting time, imo.

If the car is gonna be down, sure why not start taking it apart.. depends on your plans, imo.

Those seeing knock on 91 and the largest pulley are not common. Seems to be a few isolated cases.
Not sure if this has been answered, but I'm one of those guys. And at elevation (4,200ft). I knew going into this that boost + 91oct kinda sucks. So I knew I was going to run Boostane in my gas, good the time. I use Boostane Professional and add 4-5oz to each tank of gas putting me somewhere around 95/96oct and it works great. But long term I will get the 5gal pail of Boostane professional. Would add cost to a tank of gas by 30-40cents

So how bad are the stock cats when it comes to boost? Seems like there's a lot of talk on the FB page about how having stock cats is a horrible idea and you'll melt them and mess up your motor.

Due to the richness of the tunes, yes cats can get clogged and blow your motor. Unfortunately it has been proven time and time again!

Very good question! Another thing that has been talked about and talked about. People have said why can’t we put them on our cars and it comes down to they won’t fit and other reasons etc etc. Ultimately those cars were built around being boosted from the factory and ours were not so you have to pay to play… you can stay with stock or aftermarket’s and take the chance of blowing a motor or run catless and if you are in a state that has testing figure out some way to get around it. I swore years ago I would never boost a car that was built n/a but yet here I am but at least taking the correct steps to do so…

You gotta do welding to make that happen huh? Looks like it's not just a bolt on thing. How does it sound without them? I read it sounds kinda bad.

I've seen/read more about aftermarket cats failing like Kooks green cats VS the stock ones failing. I am running the stock ones, not really worried about it.. they seem to hold up pretty well from what I have read. If you're going to change them, I would just get rid of them all together.

Ya I curious if this is like OPGs. Some people do it and some don't. I did mine but I wasn't expecting the cat thing. I've definitely seen a lot less talk about them than the gears. I don't really beat on it, but I know that doesn't really mean anything but I am concerned now lol.
