And what happens if the car won't start? Does the starter keep spinning until the battery is dead or is there a time out circuit?
My son asked me this one the other day.

Tell ur son if ur foot is not on clutch it will not continue, and for automatic its the brake pedal. For remote start cars it usually only attempts a few times

Keyed ignition or keyless ignition makes no difference. If the battery has enough juice to activate the ECU but not enough to crank the engine, you can still push start it assuming it's a manual transmission. It's an infinitely better option to actually jump start the car for safety reasons.

Push starting is only an option for those with a clutch pedal. I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

Why are we concerned with push starting a 2015 in 2014? :D

Do you have to hold the start button or just press it once before push start?
