Yeah, except I happen to have in my garage (for real) an A250 4Matic. Same car as the A45, same engine, same transmission, same 4Matic system.
The A45 has a higher durometer bushing, maybe a little offset on the wheels and a bigger turbo with ludicrous pressure and different ECU calibration.
It's just a "fun" version of a base car that is designed to be driven by the masses who need a car to go to work, shop the grocery and go take the children to school. It has a different layout from a Sport Coupe and you feel all of it when you drive.... except maybe you didn't drive it at all and are just trolling us.

Really, there is no business confronting some FWD hot hatches to a Mustang GT.
I need to check if my passport to reality is still valid sometimes reading these pages...
The A250 is not at all the same as the A45. The AMG car has a hand built engine, with different internals, and yes a larger turbo and different calibration. A250= 201 HP. A45= 375 HP (Or 382 HP if a 2023 Model, or 416 HP if an S model).

Is a VW Tiguan 2.0 the same as a Golf R? They both use a 2.0 engine, but the engine block is the only thing they share.

I’m not saying it’s a piece of S
in Sa we have very limited choices when it comes to muscle cars,
previously any muscle car had to first go to Australia where it was was retrofitted with the RHD in many cases the modifications were rather sub standard.
When Ford announced and introduced the mustang here with a RHD I was super excited a car from the dealer with warranty and a real engine
So naturally most petrol heads placed orders, what I did with it in the first 5 years of ownership was just amble around with it having had some interesting moments where it would slip ( due to my improper handling of the right pedal) my wife also had a few bad exp with it just spinning the back out even with more gentle throttle applications.
Now being semi retired car out of warranty I’m happy play with it a bit and hence the car has had cats out and ignition tuning done to optimise it’s output for normal pump gas, I was told that in the USA you still have 98 that we can’t get and if I were to add a race fuel additive I would see improved gains.
Its a fun car to drive make no mistake, I have few mates with the Chevy Lumina (Australian v8 family car) and two who have older camaro’s I don’t like the the Lumina personally
They make me park down the road on a Friday eve at the pub with only bad things to say about Ford and the happy rear end the mustang has become notorious for.
Correct down here we get all the hot hatch German stuff with twin turbos and handling to boot ( in some cases they even cost more than a new Mustang)
I again find these cars boring with what I will describe as a lack of personality (just my opinion) as an example the BMW M2 is fast and handles well but it’s just so perfect I find it a bit bland, driving the Ford brings a smile to my face
In conclusion I suppose if it were possible I would prefer the more IMO badass look of the Dodge Challanger or Demon again having never driven one my comments are simply from a looks point of view.
You guys must also remember you have access to huge resource in the USA that we don’t have with many of our race enthusiasts and tuners only having exp with the smaller offering we see like Honda and Golf
V 8’s as a percentage of vehicles in SA is very small and with that so is the exp needed to sort them out handling and so on.

im going to see if I can get a K&n or BMC high flow filter to complete my modest tune
I’m still trying to get my head around the lose front end and am working with the links some forum members have posted
Going fwd I still intend to enjoy the car as it makes no sense to sell it having lost a good chunk in resale value I will just be mindful of what I choose to do at a robot when confronted with certain Hot hatches or the ever popular here the Porsche
Don't you have E85 in South Africa? Forget the K&N intake which will add basically nothing. Get an E85 Tune (and tuning Device) from one of the reputable tuners on here.

In SA we get 1 model A45 ….it’s quick we don’t have options it’s the AMG A45
Thanks for your in depth comments supporting what I was saying about how fast it is in street legal format and it handles like it’s a go cart

He needs to get rid of the rubber bushings and install poly or bearings, along with the IRS braces. Then come back and tell us how he gets beat by a VW golf.

Remember Ford made the mustang as a touring car and thay made the suspension too compliant. (soft)

Of course I’m sure we can spend a fortune and build a bespoke mustang It’s like saying we can make a pigs ear look like Cindy Crawford …at what cost and is it worth it
as an example a Whipple sc upgrade here costs more than the car off the dealer floor …is the humble mustang with that?

First two 95 unleaded diesel 500ppm, diesel 50pm at some places we get 97 leaded and the mustang inlet will not allow the pump nozzle to enter leaded fuel is being phased out
I can get 101 leaded aviation fuel but it’s very expensive

Your comparison is not at all fair.
The A250 4Matic and the A35/45 are, to every practical extent, the same car. Same chassis, same engine, same transmission and same 4Matic system. I also have the "AMG ride control" dampers on it. And the same brakes.
The difference is just the bigger blower, higher durometer bushings, little bits of calibrations, some pieces here and there and that in the A45 the exhaust and intake are swapped for optimized flow and the cylinder walls are stronger to resist the boost.
That thing is made to have people who can't appreciate a proper car believe they are the next Schumacher. Otherwise they would have spent their money better.

"hand built engine" is just some marketing garbage for saying "we took the same M260 engine that we are fitting to our lineup and are strangling it for good with insane boost pressure because we have to satisfy these little Greta adepts that make emissions test that are unrelated to real driving conditions and are happy to have engines that lasts 4 years because they lease and don't buy and can't make calculations on fuel economy".
I adapted the quote to the new writing style on the platform, without punctuation or proper formatting.

No, comparing a Tiguan that has the center of gravity and the elevation from the road of a little moon to an entirely different car is not fair.

That a comments supports your... reasoning(?) doesn't mean it's in depth or accurate.

$38,750 USD right off the truck. Pretty sure it will hold it’s own against any “hot hatch” it comes across.
