Wait, this guy removed 50 cats from his Mustang and it picked up horsepower? Holy shit! Well I bet it was good for at least a tenth in 1/4 mile. Weight is horsepower...

My first comment was in response to a euro being an 11 second or faster car.

My second comment was in response to handling.

I don’t doubt that a 5.0 will out drag a GTI, especially as road speed increases :like:

WD :like:
Sorry, even though I quoted you I wasn't really responding to you entirely if that makes sense lol. I just think OP is being a little bit facetious with the performance of these cars.

let’s consider the merc A45…it wipes the mustangs ass as well, I know cos I have one …
you guys are so hell bent in thinking the mustang is fast Wtf it’s not I know I have one …when you get on the loud pedal with the mustang only god knows where it’s going …in stock format it’s really not a great handling car unlike the GTI or A45
Yeah, except I happen to have in my garage (for real) an A250 4Matic. Same car as the A45, same engine, same transmission, same 4Matic system.
The A45 has a higher durometer bushing, maybe a little offset on the wheels and a bigger turbo with ludicrous pressure and different ECU calibration.
It's just a "fun" version of a base car that is designed to be driven by the masses who need a car to go to work, shop the grocery and go take the children to school. It has a different layout from a Sport Coupe and you feel all of it when you drive.... except maybe you didn't drive it at all and are just trolling us.

Really, there is no business confronting some FWD hot hatches to a Mustang GT.
I need to check if my passport to reality is still valid sometimes reading these pages...

Pay attention…ok try…
I will spell it out for you ..
1) when I mention stock I mean standard car not a stock car as in oval track car
2) took a stock car on the dyno (because there was mention on this forum from the gods of speed that it has no merit in cat removal on a stock car )
3) we read the dyno in stock format it gave a respectable 280Kw
4) then we removed the cats and did nothing else and put back on the dyno and the car gained around 9Kw ( just by removing the cats)
5) then we the did a tune wherein they adjusted timing and fuel ratio and variable cam timing based on the fuel we have here to get the best results, this delivered 300Kw
6) they opened the standard air cleaner box and also did a run that also demonstrated an improvement proving a high flow filter is an advantage

so in conclusion what I was trying to say to you guys is that de cat definitely has merit
it’s cheap Hp, I to was sceptical

on the other remarks and sarcasm I will not respond individually I will only add for clarity that speed is not only delivered from Hp it’s a combination of power suspension and brakes that make a vehicle fast …I really don’t care how fast a car is in a quarter mile the only thing IMO more exciting than drag racing is watching paint dry
For me who drives enthusiastically I want to be able to go around a corner planted, my Hot hatch does this in its stride ( while out accelerating a stock 5.0 Mustang) so does my Aston its a 3 pedal in defence the suspension set up and combination on those two cars also stock are just better than the all American made Ford
I cannot understand why some are so up there own asses when a guy simply posted some real world test and results with the intention to share in order that anyone who is considering cat removal can have some data …
as for the pric with passport your comment on troll …aaah no
Im new on this form and certainly have no desire to pretend that I own a car or bike that I don’t
use the info I have furnished or lose it ..or for you lot with the so called fastest mustang post your dyno numbers or post pics of you doing line lock

I do not have pics of the little merc on this devise as to me a hot hatch is not special there is just sight of it in one pic here
I post some pics of the two V8’s for reference, enjoy it with me rather than being obnoxious
yes I confess I put the 435 on the bonnet after purchasing it as this is what Ford stated in the specifications now we all no this is a little optimistic

Calm down dude, glad you enjoy all your vehicles and like them better than you 50.

And just to be clear...it is FIVE POINT O, not 50. There should be a decimal in between the numbers.

Here we just call it a 5 litre to be done we don’t get hung up about decimal points apologies if we here don’t know the exact jargon …and trust me I’m calm ….if anyone has lost their shit it’s been some sarcastic wannabies….I mean hows the one saying a mustang is a sports car …and then believing his BS

Maybe Luca1290 who has no passport for the real world will understand what you said
Gosh another person saying a hot hatch is faster than a mustang ….
For what a mustang is it’s fun ….it’s not fast, it handles like shit …and if we could in SA I would drive a Dodge Demon sadly we cannot get real muscle cars here With RHD …as for the C8 I been on the waiting list for 3 years for a RHD

Hang on….🤣 did I read that correctly? A mustang is a sports car …you’re out of touch bud, mustang is a pony car it’s a muscle car …certainly not a sports car
Front engine, rear drive IRS = sports car

Golf gti 8 curb weight 3461 Lbs, 240 HP 14.4 Lbs per HP

Mustang GT curb weight 3,579 to 3,933 lbs, 460 HP If we use the 3933 weight it is 8.55 Lbs per HP.

yep the Golf will kick the mustangs ass  Only in your dreams.

The reluctance to call a Mustang a sports car baffles me. This Mustang is like any other sports car made but because of a history of cheap platform sharing people have to pile on to the pony car classification just to keep it out of their revered sports car or muscle car definitions. RWD V8 GT coupe with handling balanced well with comfort. What am I missing here?

Also, people thinking they know enough to make fun of a place they've never even been to. Clearly Captain Dingus has never been to the South. Even a quick Google search would have prepared him better for that quip but he didn't even bother.
