Since were talking about my mods :)
Considering a hood swap. Thoughts on these two?
https://www.drivenbystyle.com/2018-...vehicle-registration-card-required-95183.html

This would be paint matched. Considering black for the middle to someone replicate our hoods. Cheaper option than the next one.

https://www.mobbmotorsports.com/2018-2022-ford-mustang-term-carbon-fiber-hood-p/vis-hd-14293.htm

Would most likely leave this as is since its CF
I like them both, but honestly the GT500 hood looks the best IMO. I think the hoods you have will definitely move some heat from the engine bay, along with giving a more aggressive look than the GT500.

@NJMike I like the carbon fiber one but I do think the GT500 one is the way I would go. Perhaps if the CF one was on an actual Mach 1 I would change my mind.

Regarding the stock hood, for sure there is no way to make room for the strut bar with a whipple right? I just love the look of my hood with the new hood vents :/

Correct. I crumpled aluminum foil into a loosely compacted ball and place it under the hood onto of the Whipple. It compressed to about an inch and three-quarters or seven-eights. Hardly enough for a tower brace to fit.

For the boost Gauge only options I really see is the Raxium unit (very clean look)

Or pillar mount from Glowshift (Might be an overkill though)

Agree on Raxiom. The 3 on the pillar is too much for me. I already struggle with too many options in the dash settings.

I think because it doesn't work with the mycolor. But that would be super clean.

I used the Ecoboost Boost Gauge. It is a direct replacement. But I do like the pillar mounted ones.

Got out for a short drive yesterday and finally took it to 6,000. No wheel hop, grab and go with minimal wheel spin. Felt excellent! Still need another 500 to get to full break in

I posted this same comment on the '22 with Whipple 3.0 questions

Per JDM (where I purchased my unit):

According to Whipple they only offer warranty on their Stage 1 kits, which you have the Stage 2 kit. The reason being is because of the additional HP the Stage 2 kit offers. I read through their warranty paperwork here and could not find that. I mentioned this to our rep and he said it's at their discretion.

and

you can only purchase warranty on the stage 1 product page, it's not available on the stage 2 kit there for they can not and do not offer it.

As for the warranty I guess I'm on my own. Whipple is also not responding to the question regarding the roughly $400 I had to incur due to their errors. JDM has offered me credit with them for the amount which I find very generous and although not their responsibility, a "stand up" move

Whipple replied and will reimburse me for the labor and misc parts
Just wanted to update on this also. I have not received $0.10 in return and have checked back with JDM on:
Jan 16th sent the original paperwork to JDM
Follow up Feb 21st
Follow up March 31st - response -Whipple issued a credit statement but we didn't see it hit our bank account. However, that was a few weeks ago so I'm going to check with our accountant Monday, she is out today.
Follow up May 18th - response - They never sent payment I will contact them again today. Sorry for the lost communication we’ve been super busy and short handed in the office. I’ll be in touch.

Figured I'd update this piece again. Use your own discretion when dealing with vendors.
Monday July 31st

Hi Jim
Any news for me? Been over 2 months

No response yet? Guess who wont get any of my business, nor get a referral to a reputable shop

One of my biggest pet-peeves is no communication or limited one liners.
