And True Blue in 2001. There was 1 Blue Bullitt made in 2019 but it was for a charity auction.
Sorry - I was just referring to standard production s550 :like:

Wait so Bullitt never came with another color. Just that green tint? Oh I see you couldn't get a race red Bullitt for example.
It was also available in black but that color was a small take. It just didn't seem right.

Oh I was referring to the 19/20 Bullitt. I am just not sure what was offered.
For the bullitt, green was the special color. But Ford could never drop that color and go with something else it’s just wouldn’t have made sense. For the Mach 1 everything is on the table. I don’t have anything to back this up but seeing certain colors show up and then disappear on the Shelby made me wonder if FJG would follow a similar path.

I have a feeling M1 has no changes whatsoever including the colors.
I'm pretty sure that Velocity Blue will be changed to Atlas Blue. They're pretty close and don't see Velocity Blue staying just for Mach 1. Same with orange. White/black/silver/red remain the same and FJG on top. The new colours probably won't be available to Mach 1. But we may get a surprise.

If my memory is correct the 04 Mach 1 lost azure blue and zinc yellow but gained screaming yellow and comp orange so there is precedent for moving some things around. I just don’t want to see grabber blue (the real one, not the metallic version) because I’m going to end up poor

I feel the same if they offer Competition Orange for the 2022 Mach 1 :). I'm also with you and others that the Grabber colors should remain non-metallic.

With 35-45% of 2021 Mach1 sales being FJG it would be a brave Ford Executive / Marketing Manager to suggest dropping that colour from the 2022 Mach 1 line up.

Any thought of extending FJG to the rest of the Mustang model range for 2022 would also be a risky decision on Fords part, doing so would instantly alienate there enthusiast Mach 1 customer base, resulting in reduced FJG orders for 22 Mach 1's and pissing off many who have already purchased what was supposed to be a "limited run colour".

My thoughts exactly. I haven’t seen any evidence for leaks regarding 22’ M1 colors.

Also just a philosophical point, but I don’t get the emotions attached to the colors. Sometimes you have to accept that you aren’t going to get exactly what you want (*cough M1 with a Voodoo*) and appreciate what is available. No point getting super worked up over it.

I agree with this to a point but it makes absolutely NO sense to exclude colors on one model only out of all of the models they offer unless you had something like a Bullitt situation which I would completely understand. If I could afford a GT500 right now this would be a non issue but to me to spend 55-60K on a vehicle I should be able to get the color I really want and so should anyone else. Especially since its availble on the GT500, Mach E.......etc. I personally see no reason to limit the colors on any car unless it's a special model with a certain significance. Is it the end of the world? Of course not, it's only a car, but it does totally suck.

As far as the Steeda page, while nothing is set in stone yet they have been pretty reliable in past years of the new model year colors espeically since they are mentioning the new colors. Although, I might be missing something. Either way, we will find out soon enough.

Perhaps they tried the stripes with certain colours and they weren't looking very well so they excluded them from choosing. Can't think of much else that would make a bit of sense.

Blame the bean counters. It’s always the damn accountants!
Most likely it would have required a different stripe package and the cost was more than the program was allotted.

I feel like ford would be more likely to drop FJG than extend it to the whole lineup.
I previously had a trd pro 4runner and with their pro models they always brought a unique color for the one year only to offer to the whole lineup the following year, especially in the Tacoma and tundra. Really wasn’t a good feeling to pay for the unique model and see base models a year later that looked the same. I don’t remember ford ever doing that so I don’t think they will do it with the Mach 1

Grabber Blue would be my color option if it was available for 2021, then FJG

Sounds like Mach 1 is losing three colors; yellow, orange, and a blue. I would hope that at least two of the new Mustang colors find its way to the Mach 1. Maybe one of them will be a Mach 1 only option like FJG was for 2021.

I'm thinking I could really go for Eruption Green and the Black/Orange decals and brake calipers. Look at the Explorer Timberline and the Tremor pkg. F-150.

Something like that. The GT350R wasn't available in any red, Race, Ruby or Rapid with stripes, it had to be a stripe delete with those colors, Twister Orange too. The pinstripes on the R are red, so I'm guessing it didn't look right to Ford? The stripes on the R were optional though, you could get any other color with or without them.

The Mach 1 is the other way around, you can't order one without the stripes so maybe they just eliminate some colors? I don't know, but M1 color options are very limited. Doesn't make sense they offer Twister orange and Race red but no Rapid red.
