The reason I mention my car spec is because I essentially have the closest thing to 10r80 M1 before M1 existed. I got the 10r80 because I didn't want the MT-82(Unimpressive reception) and I was dealing with pre-covid Bay area traffic(BRUTAL with manual), so the manual option was not desirable for me. If the tremec was offered on the regular mustang, I would have 100% gone with that over 10r80. Or if the Camaro SS 1LE wasn't so ugly inside and out, I would have gotten that with the tremec.
10r80 on the M1 was revised, also the tuning is different.

I definitely prefer the 10r80 from my M1 vs the one I had in my EB.

I had nothing but verts except for my Boss 302,’s and a couple of Shelby’s,. I do miss having one but I’ve gotten a bit older and I have had skin cancer from all those Verts. Now I have an M1, Between the skin cancer and moving I now only have coupes. The one thing you will realize is the coupes are so much better looking.

Yeah, 10r80 was revised on the M1. I have a new trans replaced under warranty and the car drives much better now though. No 10r80 M1 for MY2018, so I got the closest thing at the time!

I sold my ‘16 GT vert last month and just got a 2020 GT500. The DCT will help you forget about any knee problems and you will avoid beamer maintenance costs

Lots of good info/opinions/logic here. I've had 3 convertibles in my life: an '89 Mustang 4cyl auto (slower than cold molasses), a '72 Cutlass Supreme (that I still have), and an '08 Cali Special 5spd (quite a lot of fun).

I wanted a convertible Mustang again this time around but I absolutely could not find a 22-23 Cali Special 6spd, and I really wanted a V8 after looking at an Ecoboost HPP, so I "settled" for my GT Coupe.

I say all that to say that I love convertibles, but I am not disappointed with the coupe - at all. It's quieter (arguably), it has just a few less jiggles, and it's every bit as much fun to drive with the windows down.

Houston has humidity, heat, and bugs, so I really didn't (and don't) use my convertibles as convertibles all the time. In fact, the tops stayed up more than they were down by a large margin.

Also, security is a bit of a concern in some areas and a coupe just "feels" more secure in a way that a soft top car doesn't. I've walked out to sliced and ripped tops a few times and it's a bad feeling...

I originally had a 2016GT coupe, then a 2017 CS Vert and now the shelby. LOVED the vert on warm afternoons/evenings when the sun went down and the temp was perfect. But those windows in WI were few and far between. Found myself mostly uncomfortable (too hot or cold). Also didn't like how the back end looked with the top up. Other Muscle cars tend to slope the roof line closer to a coupe, but Ford decided to keep the "bonnet" look which in my opinion "emasculates" it.
Still, if I had the $ and garage space I would have a Mustang Vert in my stable.. Most likely a 2018+ due to the addition of the active exhaust and better performance, lower hood line, heated steering wheel, etc..
I can't argue with the 350 though.. it's been such a great car, comfortable, great visibility, sound, experience, looks.
The M1 would be my next choice in a coupe.. the only things I would change is the front hood stripe.. not sure where they were going with the arrow type look.? If you look at previous Mach 1's it was more of a square/rectangular section of the front hook covered in black. The thinner vinyl stripe almost coming to a point just doesn't look right. I would also add something functional to those front grill fog lamp plastic areas...
They did a great job with the Mach I otherwise...
