100% Agreed! If the OP is going to track it go with the M1 manual.
The reason I mention my car spec is because I essentially have the closest thing to 10r80 M1 before M1 existed. I got the 10r80 because I didn't want the MT-82(Unimpressive reception) and I was dealing with pre-covid Bay area traffic(BRUTAL with manual), so the manual option was not desirable for me. If the tremec was offered on the regular mustang, I would have 100% gone with that over 10r80. Or if the Camaro SS 1LE wasn't so ugly inside and out, I would have gotten that with the tremec.

I can still drive a manual, but it's not as fun as it used to be, and the 10r80 is much faster on the drag strip than the tremec or the MT82. And I want to get away from a vert, because I'm in northern Ohio and we only get about 3 months of vert weather. Also the verts are not allowed on the strip without serious safety mods, so time to dump it and let someone else enjoy it.

someone else asked, I have only 13,900 miles on my vert.

Enjoy the 10r80 M1! Road course it too!

You should be able to get more off that Mach 1. At least $1500 off, I know because I bought one last month almost like that (minus the upgraded wheels) the discounts are higher on 22s if you can find them. When I inquired about a grabber blue I was told the discount was smaller since it was a 23.

Grabber blue is the only color I would consider. Granger has couple of leftover 22 M1's in GB, but they are basic models with nothing in them. to get it the way I want, I basically have to get a 23.

I have to wait until it gets here. I'm in northern Ohio and the M1 is in Corpus Cristy TX.

Of course if you’re doing 1/4 definitely go with the auto. It’s consistent and strong on the track and wouldn’t bet against it. I was thinking road courses. My last few cars other then my GTOs where auto and while strong and consisten on the track I just missed rowing gears. I test drove a PP1 10r80 GT and while impressed my want to row gears outweighed everything else. Honestly OP do what’s best for you brother. Make sure that you enjoy what you get. Your money your needs and wants. 👊🏼🇺🇸

It sounds like you’ve found your dream ride! I would say then just find some discounted examples (some in DFW Texas) to argue for some sort of discount off msrp.

I owned an 03 Mach 1 305 HP at that time. I really miss that one. Family matters at the time. It is the one that really got away. Azure Blue stick shift.

I’d miss my convertible. But I have a fastback too (coincidentally in GBM), so I feel less bad when the ‘vert hides away from the harsh Michigan winters.

I was offered $31,500 for the 2011 last summer. I politely declined. I love it too much.
