5w30 Pennzoii Ultra Platinum & bigger Ford Racing oil filter is what I'm using.
I thought the bigger filter didn’t fit mach1’s because of something causing clearance issues

Maybe. My car is a GT & fit fine. Added .5 quart to the 10 needed.

Amsoil SS or Royal Purple XPR 5w50. It's all the same since I change the oil at short intervals.

I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum myself. 5w30. I don't run mine hard at all though. If I did, I would step up to 5w50.

I generally prefer any Group 3+, 4, or 5 base oil that meets ACEA A3/B4 and is SAE grade 5W30 (NA), 5W40 (SC), or 5W50 (SC/driven hard/E85/high boost/hot climate).

Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W40 or Quaker State Euro 5W40 is a great choice. I switched to Mobil1 5W50 and now RedLine 5W50 to improve VCT control with the big HPFP installed. Ultra Platinum 5W30 is a good choice if you can find it, but it doesn't meet A3/B4.

My brother, it appears you may be relatively new around here. But the oil argument and what type to use and what brand is best is one of the most widely debated and dragged out topics here. There is an overwhelming plethora of information available to you, and all you have to do it use the search feature and you’ll find frankly even more than you’re looking for lol.
I am fairly new here also but I’m sure you’re right. My experience with muscle car forums is the most controversial is to “catch can” or don’t “catch can.”

Whipple recommends 5w50 and they have good connections with Ford so I would go off of that.

I've heard mixed reviews about the Motorcraft 5w50 oil.

Are you tracking the car or doing a ton of pulls? If you drive it like a daily car most of the time I would just put in any premium oil brand 5w50 that catches your eye.

If you don't have catalytic converters try to find an oil brand that has more additives. I personally have been running Valvoline Vr1, some people run diesel oil.

If you are track driving or really pushing the car then try to find a racing oil you like that is around 5w50, change the oil frequently, and get the oil tested.

People have lots of opinions about oil, it honestly doesn't matter too much, get a 5w50 premium oil and the upgraded Ford racing oil filter and call it a day.

We have that settled, the answer is to "catch can".

We are eternally stuck on oil, however...

Pen ultra plat 5-30 what I used as well and just went 5-30 platinum this rotation. I’m doing just fine because I’m all street for the most part.

If changing it under 7K miles, Platinum is awesome and just as good as PUP, and cheaper.

Yeah I don’t usually go that long. I don’t even break half of those miles and change my oil between 4-6 months. I just beat down my mustang every time I take it out because it’s not a daily car.
