Look deeper. Air/fuel combustion is more efficient at higher temperatures. Only issue is finding the line between max efficiency and pre-ignition under load. This is how hyper milers gain maximum MPG. By installing a HAI… (hot air intake)I'm pretty certain that's not factually correct.
Perhaps under certain specific circumstances it can, but usually it doesn't. It robs everything to do with power and economy.
Cooler air is denser and carries more oxygen.
