Little off to the side of the topic, but does anyone think a dealership could deny warranty just for the intake even though they don't need a tune? It is introducing more air and thus more fuel than stock, could they say some dumb stuff like that?

Sadly it largely falls onto the service advisor. I've seen cars with a CAI be denied, but I've seen full bolt on cars approved. Find a good service advisor, and try to get something in writing. Heck, I even bribed mine by giving him a Publix gift card.

If all you have is the intake, you could easily swap it out for the stock one in a few minutes if you ever have to take it to a dealer for major work. Unlike the flashing of a tune, the dealer cannot get a history of you swapping out the intake.

It goes a long way. Tune your car and you are running the risk of a 30K engine swap, or god forbid a 30K tranny too.

Yes they could. Always put stock stuff back on before going to the dealer service department if warranty is a concern.
