+1 for SVE wheels. Quite a few folks run Project6R wheels here and Apex is another great choice.
You really can't go wrong with any of those, all up to your preference in style.

Yep, they all have different offerings. And price points too, depending on budget

I thought long and hard comparing the purchase between the ECS 02’s vs the PS4s. ECS 02’s were lighter so that was a positive. I ended up with the PS4s because ECS 02‘s are not available in 315 (didn’t want 325’s) and it ended up being just a little over $200 difference in price for me.

plus I really didn’t wanna be a guinea pig

Well if I buy through my local guy is a $450 difference. If I get the 4s at Costco they have a $150 credit but you have to have them install and there’s no Fing way Costco car hacks touch my car … so it’s also a matter of convenience on top of the money issue

I ended up going with the ECS and do not regret it. They are very quiet and handle quite well for my daily driving and from what I have read they seem to be a better tire for driving in the rain. For the track I still have the cup2's.

If every last second counts at the track, then the best option appears to buy a second set of wheels/tire and have dedicaTed track tire.

There are two places that have an M1 HP style wheel that is lighter and stronger than stock, and available in a couple different colors, LMR and Wheel Replicas. The fronts are 1/2" narrower than stock, but the stock tires fit fine, and you get less poke. I bought the SVE wheels from LMR and had them powder coated gloss Triple Bronze. Lots of pics if you search the M6G or my posts and my signature pic. Had them on for a couple thousand miles and they are awesome!

Just an FYI Wheel Replicas is almost out of the M1 wheels, they told me they aren't getting anymore. Its a shame, as I was going to get a set but didn't want to be left hanging if I ever needed a new wheel.

I like SVE wheels, have a set now on my GT the X500 in HyperSilver. I like brighter wheels and Wheels Replica had a set in platinum.

$448 vs $378 on tirerack.com for 305/30 R19. $486 vs $426 for 325/30 R19. ECS isn't made in 315/30 R19 but PS4S costs $417.

$70 per tyre more is not negligable but it's not that much if it lasts longer.

I’ve used both on a previous car.

The PS4S is dartier off-center and slightly more twitchy. Once loaded up though it started to float a bit and felt numb. It was great under braking. It also lasted a decent amount of time in Florida roads with lots of coral. 35K miles which if you’ve driven a summer tire down here is a lot. They also perform consistently through their wear.

The ECS (at least the first version) felt softer on initial turn-in but loaded up better and felt more stable under load. It was good under braking but not as good as the PS4S. Maybe a 5 to 10% difference. They lasted 30K miles and also performed well throughout their life.

The biggest difference was in the rain, and it rains a lot here. The Conti’s are better and it’s not close. They feel the same in the rain as they did the dry. It really caught me off the first time driving in the rain because I’m used to these type of tires being awful in the wet. Where the PS4S would dart around in puddles and hydro-plane, the Conti’s would just go through water like it wasn’t really there most of the time.

My advice: these are street tires not track tires. If you drive your car only in the dry/nice days get the PS4S. The off-center feel and dry weather performance will really make those “nice day” street drives very enjoyable since this is where it shines the most. If you DD your car or drive in bad weather I would go ECS. It’s just more consistent more of the time and under more conditions. I will be putting ECS on my car since down here it can go from sunny to a flood in 30 minutes.

For what it’s worth, I attended the Ford Performance Driving School last July. The Mach 1’s were equipped with the PS4S not the Cup. 2’s. While I did not drive the car near the limit, the instructor did in my instructor ride. These were HP equipped cars otherwise. Anecdotally, I would stay with the Michelins.

I'm pretty sure the Wheel Replica wheels and SVE HP wheels are made by the same place, the specs are identical, and the only difference I could see were the colors available and the price.
FYI: SVE Bronze is more like a light sand color, I powder coated mine to get an actual bronze color.

well again- to me it’s not worth the extra $450. I can use the savings to maybe buy a wheel for my cup 2s … the differences are so minute I’m not sweating it…

That is my biggest question. I have never had a summer tire wear as slowly as the Michelins. I wonder how they wear in comparison?

I was told the same thing, that they are made by the same manufacturer. That's what I am considering doing is having the SVEs refinished in a Hyper silver.
