For me:
1975 Fiat 124 Spyder
1982 280ZX Turbo 5mt
2004 Infinity G35 Coupe
You know something, those little G35s always caught my eyes. Loved the styling, they looked really good going down the road, especially with wheels and lowered. Yet I never got around to getting one. Maybe it was my own ignorance I guess but yes loved those coupes. 👍🏼

Thank you so much for this Bob. I've never seen this before. It was wonderful to see my first car again. Mine was a Dark Moss with the 390 FE engine.
you're welcome....I have a soft spot for galaxies and torinos!

There's a newer Q60 Sport at my apartment complex and it is a sharp looking car. I was looking at them when I found my mustang, but man they are proud of those things. Same with Lexus and their RC350.

If you like that you'll love this....they have some nice classics for sale.

Ira, Here's a yt video for you...GTA starts at 16:40 enjoy
Love those, such a clean design. A close friend's father has both a red '66 GTA and a dark blue '67 GTA. The '67 he had bought new, drag raced, sold when he had kids, and reacquired and restored in the '90s.

70 fastback, 302, Medium Lime Metallic, converted to 4 speed Toploader, replaced the stock 2V carburetor with a Holley. Couldn't afford to do what I wanted to it at the time.
I did similar upgrades to my 71 Cougar...it started with 351C 2 bbl with C6 auto.....converted to 4bbl, intake and top loader 4 speed...kinda miss it 😀

This.
Sometimes it’s not the rarity or cool factor of the car, rather the bond and nostalgia that comes with said car.
Agreed. I learned to drive in my parents' '76 Beetle. I miss that car, even though it was never that great of a vehicle.

I learned to drive in a baby blue Ford Fairmont station wagon. We had that all my years of high school. It was definitely a champ though. That thing never broke down nor left me stranded anywhere.

Now that was a trip down memory lane. I still love the sound of a FE engine. Especially with Thrush mufflers. :giggle:
I had hush thrush on my first 68 stang. It was a 289 but the drone was horrible 🤣

My two are fairly pedestrian.
-2016 Focus ST…traded for my 1st GT. Super fun car for the money. It was definitely more rowdy than my current daily, a ‘21 GLI

-1989 Toyota Cressida…it was a $1k winter beater but I had soo much fun in it. People who knew what it was loved it but most people (even car ppl) had no clue what a cressida was lol

Let's see...
1978 Mercury Cougar XR7 - Such a fun cruiser!

1978 Trans Am - numbers matching W-72 TA 6.6 with 72k miles. Owned for 19 years and sold it to a friend who is currently doing a frame off restoration. Sold it to buy the next car on the list.

2012 Mustang V6, Kona Blue, Mustang Club of America package and performance package. Documented from Ford as 1 of 53 made with that combo. Sold it to the same friend who turned it into a fun little track car. Sold it to buy the next car on the list.
2012 Mustang.jpg

2017 Lincoln MKZ Black Label 3.0T. I had sold the 2012 Mustang to pick this up. The Lincoln was a blast to drive, the perfect sleeper. 400 hp / 400 lb-ft tq, AWD, torque vectoring rear differential, Lincoln's version of Magneride. Did a couple of HPDE days with it and found the handling, traction, and acceleration were awesome. Brakes... not so much; overheated within 3 laps due to no cooling. Instructors loved the heated/cooled/massaging seats. LOL. Upgraded the brakes by selling the MKZ for what I paid for it and buying my 2021 Mach 1.

I got a lot of "You're driving a Lincoln on the track?!?" comments at a PCA HPDE. :sunglasses:

Almost every single car I built. Complete waste of money every time you get rid of them.

I'm done wasting money on not keeping a good car that I put lots of money and work into, for less than 7-10 years. I may even keep my current build forever this time.

I did that once, got a car exactly how I liked it and then sold it. Takes about a year and then you're like "why the hell did I do that". Every time

That’s the very definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again……… I’ve done the same thing over and over with both motorcycles and cars. I’m at the end of the road with the insanity as well. The only thing i’d really love to be able to do is have my 22 Eruption Green GT turn into a Mach 1 in the same color.
