Open Recall Alert 2020-2021 GT500 -- Recall: #22E08 2020-2021 MUSTANG GT500 TCM COMMUNICATION

Anyone else got this done? I read it fixes a problem if the oil is a quart low or less than 20% life...neither of which I will ever deal with. Should I even bother? I hate taking the car to the dealer.

Ah shit, the one I read was this Ford TSB #21-2390, and I just figured this was that because how many could their be...but I was wrong....and I guess that's just a TSB and not a recall so yea I'm dumb lol. Ty for correcting me.

No problem, I had my dealership do it when I brought my car in for warranty repair, My guy was like how do you get these before I do But my dealership is good and take real good care of my car, cant ask for any better and trust no other.

I had a look at the NHTSA pertaining to this issue. No open recalls. I plan to speak to my service advisor and I'll ask him if this flash is due on my vehicle.

My car is right in the middle of the 22EO8 recall time period, but has nothing listed on the NHTSA recall site. I decided to take Tomster's advice and check at the dealer. Sure enough, there is that recall on it. I suspect NHTSA recalls are safety/emissions only. CHECK WITH YOUR DEALER.

I had mine done with Ford mobile service. The tech stopped by the house and programmed it onsite.

Tomster: did you notice any difference at all after the programming was completed?

It literally just pumps more oil to through the tranny to cool better. My 21 didn't make any hissing noises and when I bought my 22 I thought something was wrong. I ended up doing the recall on my 21 and now it hisses like my 22. Shifts no different at all.

I did not drive it. I let the tech drive it as a thank you.
