I like to disassemble things.
I don't think this has been brought to anyone's attention before but my good friend Bryan just got his '21 GT500 and he noticed something directly related to the hood issue. The small flanges where some of us have cracks are gone from his car. None of his underhood bracing has the small flanges like the 2020's did (possibly some 2021's too?).

To begin with, the engineering number on the underside of his '21 blue car..

The engineering part numbers are identical. Yet Ford made a change, as a result of information they received regarding cracks. Not sure why the number wasn't changed to reflect that this was a revision.

On previous versions, the top two triangulated open areas of the underhood bracing were flanged. Here's mine, with the top flanged and the bottom isn't. The driver side mirrors the passenger side.

On Bryan's '21, none of the triangulated areas are flanged. They are completely flat now.

So the flanges weren't necessary? Eliminating them made no difference but they were thought necessary when designed? Were other areas I haven't noticed reinforced or thickened? I know, pondering those questions are on par with considering rearranging your sock drawer but I'm just pointing out that Ford did listen in this case.

I wonder what his build date is. My blue 2021 (March build) has the flanges.

Interesting that less is the fix. That is not often the case.

Okay I'll ask the question ( please forgive me for the spelling errors if I miss any as I am drunk, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!) but being mine is in hibernation, does anyone know if this is something we can cut and remove, or is this a weld issue we are dealt with? I am asking because this might also be an issue with the strut covers and it getting in the way.

That's good engineering IMO. The temptation is always to overpower the issue and add more structural reinforcement. More weight on a car is not preferred unless really needed.
