I finally got around to jacking the S550 up to try out the wheel cribs I made. I also installed my SR Performance jacking rails. I put the front wheels on 8” block to get lift. Installed the jacking rails. Then raised the rear onto the cribs. Then lifted the front onto the cribs. Why did I do this? My MGW shifter arrived which I will be installing this week. Cribs lift the car 12” which gives me just about 18” under the car. I hate jack stands and feel way more comfortable with this setup.

Good sturdy cribs you have there. You could probably set a semi truck on those. Nice design to stay safe when under the car.

Plenty large. What do they weigh apiece?

Where did you get the dial covers? They look really good.
I purchased the cover for the DCT dial a couple of years ago from Kevin at 5SPURS (https://shop.5spurs.com/). Recently he made some covers for the radio dials to match and also leather switch toggles.

The design of these dial covers is straight from the Ford GT Supercar DCT dial. It gives the inside of my 500 a nice touch.

Yesterday, I replaced my door mids with a pair of Kicker 47KSC2704 2 3/4" drivers (driver side mid blew a few weeks ago). They fit pretty well in the doors with the included 3 1/2" mounting adapters, and I was able to wire them to the stock speaker brackets utilizing the B&O wiring diagram found elsewhere on M6G. Overall, they sound good, and are definitely beefier than what Ford installed.

Leaving my doors open for an hour to replace the speakers, I drained the battery. Definitely time to replace it. Negative terminal was super scuzzy too; will replace that as well, I think.

Re-torqued all of the valve cover bolts... Most required 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Several of them required multiple complete turns (they were not even finger tight). The only bolts that were even close to retaining their original 89 in-lb (but still required about 1/8 turn) were the ones at the front of the covers.
