Anyone know what is the power limits on the 47lb injectors running 93 pump gas? I’m doing some upgrades on my 17 Roush Phase 2 with a VMP 67mm twin jet throttle body and PMAS intake along with VMP custom tune.

I think anything above the Phase 2 will likely require larger injectors. I went to a VMP custom tune after the Phase 2 (original 47’s) and Brenspeed installed Deatschwerk 95lb injectors for the upgrade. On a 93 tune I’m right at 700rwhp. Not sure there is a cut and dried hp limit but both Brenspeed and VMP required larger to go to the current hp level

I’m also running the 75mm pulley and the original phase 2 installed BAP

Wonder if the 56lb injectors will work or need to go with FIC1000’s.

Your call. I wouldn’t. If you’re like most this won’t be the last tune. I’d just go ahead with the ID1000’s or DW 95’s or similar. Give you some nice room for growth. Mathematically the 47’s are tapped out where you’re at. The 56’s may get you one more upgrade.

I'm on 56lb injectors with phase 2 roush. 82mm pulley. It's somewhere around 645whp. I believe VMP told me if I wanted to go anymore, I'd need more injector.

It irritates me to death with this setup you can't see pulse width or injector duty cycle. About all you can do is watch other PID's... knock, short term fuel trim, AFR, etc. to know if you are in or nearing saturation. FWIW, I'm still using the 47lb injectors with the phase 2 setup and VMP 93 tune and it runs very well. With that said I know I am running on the ragged edge... planning on upgrading them but I hate to mess with it since the tune is very good.

Here is what VMP is installing....

I'm switching to a somewhat similar set up this winter: 80mm pulley, NGK plugs, JLT 125 CAI, ID1050x's, and another 93 tune by Lund. Lund suggested I go with the 1050x's and I already installed a VMP fuel pump booster, IAT 2 harness, and Reische 170 thermostat last year. Also all suggested by Lund.

What setup is this? The injector pulse width and duty cycle PID is there.

From old logs they are at 85%DC at 7000rpm on 8 psi (85mm) for a roush tvs with ported lower mani. Once COT hits its 96%dc. This is with stock fuel system and BAP.

They can be taken further if you remove the bottle necks between the pump and fuel rail. Or full fuel system. Its the pressure drop that really hurts them first.
