If the car isn’t driven regularly (100-200 miles per month) is E85 a bad idea? I also have local access to 100 octane at a nearby station. Would I be better off with a tune designed for the 100 versus the E85?

I drive about the same amount no issues here in 2 years on E85.If the car isn’t driven regularly (100-200 miles per month) is E85 a bad idea? I also have local access to 100 octane at a nearby station. Would I be better off with a tune designed for the 100 versus the E85?
The idea of waiting for the car to adjust to and learn the E content in the fuel is a crazy concept to me and I cannot believe people are willing to do it. Just test the fuel, it takes literally 30 seconds. The whole testing of fuel thing is a crazy concept to me and cannot believe people are so willing to do it. Just run the flex fuel tune and call it a day.
Have you actually tested fuel and ended up leaving the pump for another station? The idea of waiting for the car to adjust to and learn the E content in the fuel is a crazy concept to me and I cannot believe people are willing to do it. Just test the fuel, it takes literally 30 seconds.
Absolutely. Most stations around me have E85 pumps. However, the content is all over the place with the exception of one chain whom I now use religiously and still test every fill even though they are consistently E80 or higher in the summer.Have you actually tested fuel and ended up leaving the pump for another station?
Well yea that`s what I am kind of talking about here. Daily driving and testing on every fuel seems little crazy to me. Then having to deal with stations not meeting your standards.Absolutely. I do not drive my mustang much at all. I could see how having a DD on E85 it could get annoying to test fuel at the rate these cars eat fuel on E.
OK, you test it and find out it's bad. Now what? The idea of waiting for the car to adjust to and learn the E content in the fuel is a crazy concept to me and I cannot believe people are willing to do it. Just test the fuel, it takes literally 30 seconds.
You are right. You load the flex tune.OK, you test it and find out it's bad. Now what?
There is no waiting. You fill up and go. The car learns the e content in the first 10 minutes or less while you're driving. The idea of waiting for the car to adjust to and learn the E content in the fuel is a crazy concept to me and I cannot believe people are willing to do it. Yep. And if the fuel tests <e70, then flash the flex tune at the pump. There is no waiting. You fill up and go. The car learns the e content in the first 10 minutes or less while you're driving.
