Many a header tube have, clearance dents in them.

I always wonder about statements, "CS was rude"

*WARNING* DO NOT BUY 2M FABRICATION HEADERS

I'm currently having the same fitment issues. My car is a 2019 GT and the headers hit the steering shaft and frame rail on passenger side. Underwent alot of heating and bending to get these to fit. Its not worth the hassle to buy these junk headers and deal with these headaches. As well, their customer service is virtually non existent. No phone number to call at all. Do these guys work out of a barn? Guys, spend the extra money and buy something that actually fits.

Thats exactly what mine look like. 2m is absolute trash. I bought a set of LTH headers i am going to swap in this summer. All that work and nothing but problems since i got them.

Just to chime in for 2M Headers. I basically had to cut and re weld the passenger side header to make it fit (the car was basically on jackstands for a month because my buddy had to bring me the headers, test fit them and make changes 2-3 times to make them just fit. Clearance was still tight. I knew from the get go I had to clear the steering shaft on the driver side, so I dimpled them with a torch and big socket and put some washers. That did the trick. Or at least I thought so.

Turns out the added washers made the already tight clearance on the passenger side almost non existent so it ended up rubbing. Took the washers out and it was fine. Now 6-7 months after and the steering shaft is making contact when turning semi aggressively.

After another month or so, I installed some final suspension mods and new tires. Turns out it now makes contact on the passenger side if I'm pulling a actually hard turn. I'm pretty pissed off and I don't know if the heat from the headers softened the OEM engine mounts or what but I will try making a bigger dimple, adding a few washers and then shifting the engine to the driver side to see if I can make these headers work. If not, they'll go in the trash.

It's a shame because the welds and material are actually nice. Just the fitment is trash.

That sounds like a tough go for you. I wonder how some of these companies are manufacturing headers with so many fitment issues. It would almost appear that some companies may be guessing at fitment and hoping for the best.

Yeah. It's frustrating but I have nobody to blame than myself. I kept reading how some people had good fitment and how some had horrible ones. I was just hoping I'd get a decent set. If that doesn't work I'll just bite the bullet and get Stainless Works since those seem to be the best fitting out there.

ARH and Kooks both spot on fitment as well.

Maybe try making some pie cuts to the affected primary tubes, so that you can manipulate them and give yourself ample clearance. It’s a huge PITA. I was in that position with my first set of headers and thankfully, the manufacturer built me another set that fit like they were supposed to. It took longer than I had liked, but they eventually got it done. I hung one of those brand new headers that didn’t fit properly, on my garage wall as wall art, so in the end, I still got some use out of them, lol.

Since I already had re welded and moved things around there is no real space to get different angles without re routing all the other primaries. It would just be easier to buy new ones since to do that I'd have to take the passenger side headers and if I'm taking those out I might as well get new ones lol.

Yup, trash. I ended up taking them off after beating the crap out of them to fit. I sold the mid pipes and literally threw the headers in the trash. Very low quality for sure.
Sorry to hear about your fitment issues. Which brand did you go with?
The Old saying is true, You do get what you pay for, I know, when I was young and without money I had to buy the cheaper brands which in turn usually meant more work for the install, fitment issues, reliability issues or longevity issues. I am going to buy a set of LTH in the fall and will fork out the extra money for the higher priced, higher quality ones. Sad they are so damn high. Good Luck
