I have a 2015 GT that is due for its first emissions inspection in May (next month). It currently has Stainless Works catted long tube headers, Ford Racing by Borla Touring cat back exhaust, JLT CAI and custom tune by BAMA.

I believe the O2 sensors have been disabled by the tune. I was getting a check engine light until BAMA adjusted the tune.

What can I do to pass emissions testing? I have heard about O2 extenders. How does this work and where can I get some? BTW, I am very happy with the HP (416 RWHP).

I wish it were that easy. The inspection computer in Massachusetts plugs right into the OBD. Any other suggestions?

This is why I haven't done longtubes. Massachusetts and Connecticut are tough with few options. I know this from dealing with it from my 2011.

This is exactly why I chose Kooks long tubes with their "green" cats. They have been installed for well over a year and not one CEL and have passed 2 Massachusetts state inspections with flying colors.

They are more expensive but you get what you pay for

The extenders are essentially spacers, which pull the rear 02 sensors out of the exhaust flow, tricking the computer into thinking the cats are working well.

Great! Thanks guys. I have until the end of May to pass inspection. I would have bought the Kooks catted headers if I was more informed. I bought all the mods through the dealership and they installed them after they put a sticker on the stock GT.
