Very much not true which has been covered many times. It replaces OEM warranty with Ford Performance one - 3 years from car in service date (so someone installing it now on 2018 will have none of it). Also any ASE certified technician can install it.
So a Ford dealership purchases the " performance kit" from Ford Performance and installs these parts AND then the Ford cars warranty is voided!! That is not the case but thanks for your useless info..

You have no idea what you're talking about but continue on. Read the actual warranty that comes with this kit (that I happened to purchase and used to have on my car) and then maybe try talking about it. No warranty is ever voided, but FP warranty is as stated above that and that's the one you'll be told to pursue should something happen to the engine. And again - it's only for 3 years for car's in service date.

The Ford car warranty is not voided but the Ford warranty on the engine and maybe the entire powertrain is voided but a shortened (from 5 to 3 years from car purchase) Ford Performance warrantee takes its place. Ford and Ford Performance are different companies.

That's not what Ford, Ford Performance and the dealership told me. But I'm sure you know more then all three of them.

BTW, there's ways to communicate and telling someone they don't know what they're talking about just sucks...

Thanks for clarifying. When @kz states "It replaces OEM warranty" and "No warranty is ever voided, but FP warranty is as stated above" he needs to be more clear which warranty applies, and not for the entire car. So, how much of the mechanical warranty is replaced then for this specific mod? Engine, exhaust, trans??

Right and while Ford Performance is a separate company, FP is still owned by Ford.

Read it very clear does not void new car, etc. And Ford rep and I just read again. FP parts also have warranty, get that. And they start when your new car limited starts (for 36 months) or 36,000 miles. All very clear.

No one said that the FP products void the new car warranty.

What installing FP products does, is void the warranty for that system (the engine, for instance, in the case of an FP tune), and replaces it with the FP warranty.

The rest of your OEM warranty is just fine. Only the systems that get FP parts have their warranty affected.

Tow to a different dealership that has a reputation of treating people fair.

These people do not seem to be treating this circumstance fair at all.

It's Ford's policies and procedures.

Greeting fellow Okie...

First... I have yet to find a dealership service department in this state that is actually usable. Honda, Dodge, Ford, all fairly terrible. IDK what it is about this state but between missed calls and slipped estimates I have never seen it as bad as I have here.

Second... https://www.oag.ok.gov/consumer-protection-unit Say what you will about the 'gubment' in OK, I have had really good luck with them sending letters to businesses to "adjust" their customer service. From dealing with the above on a dodgy AC repair to the Insurance Comission getting a fly-by-night insurance company to cover their hit-and-run customer's damages. Not necessarily asking them to turn the screws on people, just emailing them and asking a few questions does wonders. Again, they have to prove that you did something to void the warranty, not the other way around.

Last... I am not sure who recommended it, but opening a ticket with Ford is not necessarily a bad idea. A phone call or two from the company can do wonders to get things moving in the right direction and they have been nothing but golden to me so far.
So just what is involved in opening a ticket with Ford?

Ford wants to take the heads off to look for detonation which is a possible sign of tuning...yet they haven't said anything about the ecu logs proving I haven't tuned my car.
Something just isn't right with the way I'm being handled by the dealership.
If it makes you feel better, the dealership probably has little to zero interest in wasting a tech pulling apart a dead engine. It's something Ford is requesting for whatever reason. Even if they found excessive detonation, they can't prove you did it.

I definitely won't disagree with that logic...but I still want to read this agreement they want me to sign first.
Thing is, they agreed to send me a copy via email last Friday along with othe information like what is actually broken with/inside the engine....still haven't heard anything back as of yet.
