The alignment yes, I had Ashleigh note on my paper work to do a street alignment, I do have to pay for that as well.

Dang, long drive but I’m sure it will be a memorable experience
Should be a fun trip, but it depends on when I can pick it up. Might have to semi-bonsai run it if it isn't there before Labor Day. I'm going to try and do a time-lapse video for s&g's.

Sounds like a great idea….Reached out to Zach about washing, he said if I’m worried about scratches don’t have them wash it so I guess I’ll have them hose it down for their inspection.
Yeah, don't have it go through the wash. I'm going to tell them leave it but inspect everything else. I'll power wash / blow dry it when it gets here.

I put this in my email exactly:

1. No wash through the car wash.
2. No front license plate drill.
3. No installation on the front splitter so it can be shipped easier.
4. Inspect hood, fenders, doors, trunk, and trunk lid for misalignment issues if they exist.

I don't think the HP tires will fit at my local car wash, 12" Max width. But mine is going to be a daily driver, touring car so I'll probably let them wash it, or have them hose it off and hire a local detail service to come out and clean and wax it.

I'm thinking I'll get some green painter's tape to cover the rock prone areas. It might look kind of cool over the Eruption Green paint. Remember tape from down stream to up stream so it doesn't peal off!

 Maybe I'll do some Le Mans stripes over the hood and green flames on the side too. :lipssealed:

MP4S is an incredible tire. My 2021 originally did not have the HP but I've since upgraded to all but the HP springs and rear sway bar. I still have the original 255/40 fronts and 275/40 rears for the unpredictable NH spring and fall weather; 295/35 front and 305/35 rear for having fun and track days in the summer.

I'll be stopping by the car show at the NH Aviation Museum in Londonderry this Friday (7/15) if you want to chat.
Jim
Thanks for the tire info.

I totally would hang but I gotta work tomorrow and then I’m due down in Boston for the evening. Do you go to any cars and coffee in southern NH? I was thinking of going to one sometime once I got my Mach. If you see an eruption green Mach around southern/central NH or in Mass then it’s probably me — I don’t think there’s many of us around here! Lol

Hey all,

I'm in AZ and waiting to get my Mach 1. On Ford's tracker it says the car was built on 07/01 and has been awaiting shipment ever since, is it common for the car to spent 2 weeks before getting on any sort of rail or convoy? based on your experience how soon do you think will I get the car?

A general rule of thumb is 30 days from factory to dealer, minimum.

Joker-
Yes to the clay bar- as far as I know

I don’t have a problem buying any of those products but it was my understanding the clay bar also removed the iron deposits. What’s your opinion ?

Thaty is what I did. Prior to the car arriving I sent a email to the sales lady and she followed it to the letter EVEN did do the PDI until I sent it over to the coating shop and THEY washed it and inspected the paint. The dirty pic is from transport, and the clean one was at Lusso, the shop doing the clear protection as well as ceramic coating.

I thought pressure washing was not advised with the vinyl strips?

pressure washing with vinyl is okay. just use a 40* nozzle, a lower powered pressure washer, and don't blast point blank at the edges. the electric sun joe's on amazon work great plus get a foam cannon while you're at it

I use the SJ spx3000 and the trinova foam cannon with chemical guys foam/soap

I thought i saw a thread of a someone with a Mach who has bubbling under his vinyl after using a pressure washer and someone posted a pic of the manual stating not to use them?

I should have added that into my OG reply

Grabbed this from the GT500 order thread.
Looks like September build slots are getting scheduled next week.
Might be the last chance for HP orders this year?

Just like with PPF, don't put the pressure washer close to it. You can use it just don't do it too close as there is always a risk of it pulling up. I don't have a very strong electric one. Ryobi one from Home Depot, 1600 PSI.

I also forgot to mention you have to be careful if you have a rock chip in your PPF from taking a hit. The pressure washer can make it worse. Learned that on my Accord real quick.

Yeah,
I'm going to ask Zach if they'll give me descent credit on them if I buy a set of PS4s for the 2000 mile trip home. If not, I'll buy them from Discount/America's Tire, throw a couple in the trunk and ship the rest home UPS. I know I can get good money for them in San Jose.
let us know what he says about that. i would be up to do the same.
