Sounds like I should just keep my order...

There's another one that's in Ottawa but it has the California Special in Atlas blue, not the biggest fan of the color.

Honestly I'm just really disappointed my dealer is waiting on allocation to put in the order...If I had known that, I would've gone to a dealer with a higher allocation of Mustangs.

Can't you cancel and do just that with another dealership?

Buy almost ANY new car/truck/SUV/sport car is really tough these days. My neighbor waited 5 months for a Subaru... so Mustangs very much a drag trying to buy what you want. On the Magnaride, I test drove with and without and love the Magnaride (versus the "awww you can built this better, cheaper" crowd) and glad I optioned for it too.

I actually think what I'm more looking for is the fact that these dealers didn't mention anything about "Allocation" being the issue.

I see everyone on here putting in an order and immediately getting a tracking number and everything, where others seem to be waiting for months on end with nothing and it feels like it's an "Allocation" Issue dealers just aren't saying.

If you never had it, you probably won't miss it. If you do have it, you wouldn't want one without,
Yup...I bought mine used and it has MR...now that I experienced, I can't imagine not having it.

Dual rates on MR with some lock outs for the rear cradle is how the PP1 should be out of the factory.
Drove a PP1 non MR with Ultra lights for three years and now having MR with similar rated springs...night and day.
The standard pp1 was brutal on washed out roads even stock, I don't even notice the same roads in Sport Plus with the MR and if it does get a bit ruff...back to normal and its smooth as butter, and if I want that stiff feel everything ride...track mode and still a better ride with stiffer springs.

How worth it is Magneride? Should I wait what could be a long time? Or should I just go for it. To note, this will be my Daily driver.
Also being in Canada and in the GTA I ordered from Meadowvale Ford back in July of 2021. Everything you see in my sig below; basically fully loaded. They couldn't find me one anywhere in Ontario (dealer trades) but they couldn't look outside Ontario and also couldn't tell me when for sure the 2022 build calendar was going to open other than "sometime in October".

I had to purchase one from a dealership in Alberta; sight unseen. Since it was brand new (7km on it) from a Ford Dealership I wasn't sweating it.

Get EVERYTHING you want.

I have driven both magneride AND non-magneride Mustangs and now that I've had it I'll never get a Mustang without it. The flexibility is what I enjoy. If I want soft and smooth (ish) I can do that. If I want to dial it in on TRACK mode and have everything super responsive I can do so.

How did they go about getting it to you?

the PP1 suspension is a bad joke. The MR is an improvement but not huge. But IF you do go MR you want to do all the chassis fixes, esp the IRS and get the latest MR tune. It's unclear if Ford has slip-streamed the newer maps into recent production. Another thing to do is replace the front dampers with the SKU for the Mach1.

Given how obscene the price is for PP1+MR these days, wouldn't a Mach1 be better value? Or dispense with the PP1 and just buy BIlstein or FP Track suspension kits and have something decent for vastly less money.
Can’t speak from the MR perspective, but as shogun suggests, I have the FP track suspension kit on my non-pp GT and it is a huuuuuuge improvement.

I’ve owned three S550’s -2017 Ecoboost PP, 2017 GT PP, and now the 2020 GT PP2 w/ Magneride. I agree with the others that have owned both set-ups. Magneride makes a big difference on the street and is well worth the price.
I think the real question is can you wait for Magneride or should you buy now, especially if you’ve never experienced it. In the current market you may want to take the “bird in the hand“ approach.

I also agree that you should get the car you want even if it takes longer and costs more. Within reason of course.

The S650 will be out by the time you get your car if you wait for the MR in Canada…

My car has MR, my girlfriends fathers S550 doesn't have it. If you're leaving your suspension basically stock it's up there with the best options available.

I've found a Mustang close by ish that has EVERYTHING I want...EXCEPT it's in Satin black.

I've owned just nothing but black cars, so I might pull the trigger and purchase this car since from what I see on it's VIN, it's been sitting at the dealer since beginning of March. All I've seen is they've uped the price from Window Sticker to the new inflated price since I think all of those options went up in price....SO I wonder if I can get them back down to near sticker and then just get the car wrapped in the color I want.
