I ordered my 2018 GT last week. Already received the DORA on it, but i can change it.

I really wanted the Magneride, but in order to get it, you have to buy the perf package first for $3995, then $1695 for Magneride. I will get an X plan discount, but not factoring that into this right now.

i opted not to the the PP or MR since it was another $5600 for them, instead i got the 20 inch wheels for $1295.

Now obviously, if i take off the rims and add on the MR and PP, in reality its a difference of $4395 before x plan.

Is it really worth that much to get it? everything else i ordered i want for sure, so those are not being traded out for it, premium, safe and sound package, active exhaust, etc.

The x plan price for what i ordered comes to $46,770, to swap out wheels and add PP and MR, it goes up to $50,928, total diff on x plan is $4158. That equals about 60-80 a month more in payments depending on interest.

Not sure what payment will be as of now, but have my 2017 GT to trade and after my payoff of about 8K, probably get 22-25K as a down payment is a guesstimate.

is it really worth it or leave it without?

ready for opinions........

I'd say wait to test drive both of them and then decide if you get more than 8% more enjoyment out of the Magneride. That's about what the cost difference of it is.

Lol - Picture A, driving without. Picture B, driving with. Put up on your computer screen and measure smile / wow factor. So the moral of the story here is if picture B has a 8% or greater width then the Magneride is a shoe in :)

Are you going to leave the car stock? If yes...get those options. If you're going to mess with suspension anyway, you may prefer to build your own performance/suspension package for that price or less. It still won't be magneride with the big brembos but you get the idea.

honestly if you have a 2017, enjoy that for a few years and trade up for a 2020, dont take the depreciation hit just yet. The 18 is a better car but unless you have the cash and depreciation doesnt matter just wait, makes better financial sense.

that being said, is it overpriced for the package yes but would i still get it, hell yes. Sometimes you got to spend a little extra to have a big old smile on your face.

$46-50K for a Mustang?? A bit more and you can get a GT350 or C7.
There are 18's selling for $53-$54k. I'm struggling with this price point why not 6k more for a Zl1 or Hellcat. Hell you can get a 16 leftover for $56k on the hellcat.

I know Camaro has a higher MSRP but it's been under MSRP a long time now. This price point doesn't really make sense on the GT.

Someone point to me where I can get a gt350 or ZL1 for $56k?
Not sure where I said GT350. Said hellcat which there are plenty of 16's left over in that range.

ZL1 you could pick one up for 60k. IF your spending 54-55k on a GT 5-6k more is meaningless and a world of difference in value.

GT pricing does not make sense. Upgrades likely have it at SS performance value and you can pick up a 2SS for 40-42k easy. This price point is high enough to push people up to next tier of cars or sideways.

The GT350 at that price will be pretty minimally equipped, compared to the GT which has tons of options and is still less expensive.

C7 would likely have minimal options as well, but maybe doesn't need them.

I really like the magneride in the GT350, but don't know that I'd want to pay that price on a regular GT, especially because the PP has upgraded shocks that you are then throwing away with the magneride.

Would maybe skip the PP and magneride and spend money on individual mods that I really wanted.
