Being a veteran I qualify for veteran plates, and I chose to put the ship I served on during desert storm on that plate.

It doesn't single me out with a name or something similar, but it does hold significance to me and this is the second vehicle that I've had these plates on.

Got mine in the mail, but haven't put them on yet. The car has been sequestered in the garage until I can finish the paint chips and polish.

My state has decided to stop issuing personalized plates so they can avoid any future 1st ammendment law suits. All of my runner up choices quickly disappeared so I got stuck with a 3rd tier, not so great spelling. I've seriously considered taking my old random issue plates to the DMV and have them transferred back to my vehicle.

I had HVNGFUN on a Toyota 4x4 years ago. NH only allows six characters on a veterans plate, so I went with a variation on my Mach 1 and my wife's convertible.

*Only one I've ever liked was last year at our lake, neighbor's guest brought up a new mid-engine Corvette, plate said GOTME1. Stunning car and I laughed at it, so that was the mulligan.

I just picked mine up last week and already totally regret it. The plate i wanted raises money for bike trails, but in MO you have to pick a personalized 'number' for it. Actually you have to list 5 and they assign you one of them. I got my 5th pick. I didnt realize it would be mistaken as a political statement. Already been given shit twice about it. I dont advertise my politics, especially not on my lawn or car, so i never thought about it. So think about what you choose from every angle! Going to call the state to see if I can get new tags tomorrow.

I did and don't mind all the negatory type stuff. The GT already is a PoPo magnet so what's a plate going to hurt? So if you know the name of my GT's color this fits and if you don't it works anyway. WTH.

It was between that and WOKE U UP but I like my neighbors and start in quiet mode most of the time.
