Has there been any reported issues with the plastic plug? I've only heard of issues with the metal ones in the plastic oil pans.

only thing I’ve heard is the plastic tabs can break off when removing. Haven’t heard any reports of them leaking or anything.

Even if that's the case (which I highly doubt), remember manual tells you to replace the plug every time you change oil. Which I do.

Lol, well I guess I will just use the oem plastic plugs and be really careful not to break it.
Anyone have a link or where a good place to buying a pack of these oem Ford drain plugs?

It says the yellow plastic one should be replaced every oil change. Go with the UPR, solid piece and great piece of mind!

I guess you're missed some previous posts in this thread about great piece of mind UPR plug. I thought I blew the engine because of this fucking thing.

Sorry, I didn't read that other thread until now. Wow, that sucks!
I've had mine in and out a few times now with no issue, locks in firmly.

I kept looking for this in the manual (2018+) and couldn't find it anywhere, that it needs to be replaced. Can you provide deets?
