How can you convert a 2016 GT base into a PP1 , mainly thinking of handling add-ons , not necessary small stuff like gauges

Pretty simple steps:

Performance
-brembo brakes(master cylinder optional)
- 3.73 rear diff with torsen (if manual)
- radiator braces
- springs/struts (optional as people switch them out anyway)
- rear toe links and front control arms with brake deflectors (you wont notice a difference in regular driving)
- larger radiator

Exterior
-wheels(if you want)
- front bumper belly pan

Interior
-Dash trim with gauges

i may be missing some things but thats about it

Nice , hmm what do think a ballpark cost ? Might be easier to sell and purchase a pp1 stang . What about magna ride I hear talked about how do you know if a used stang has this option

as far as cost goes it depends if you are doing the work yourself. With todays market im not sure which is the better way to go. Tires/wheels and suspension are things that is preference and most people change out. For a PP car the main thing people are concerned with are the brakes and torsen. Both of those can be had for $1k together just about.

To know if a car is equipped with Magneride it will have to be a 18+ and the best way is by looking at the window sticker honestly. I THINK but not sure all magneride car are premium. I dont think a base can come with it.

Cool thanks , I have 20inch performance wheels and tires already, which made a huge difference with the base model .

Can magna ride be installed?
The factory system, not really. There aftermarket systems available though.

I have to ask, what is it you are trying to accomplish? How do you use your car? Would you looking to buy a new car or used?
Without more information from you it’s impossible to give you a detailed answer.

Not on a 2016.

For handling there are far better aftermarket options than the OEM Magride. Back in 2016 when the PP was a $2000 option, you'd be hardpressed to replicate that for cheaper after the fact so it would be a smarter option to get the PP from the start. Currently with the PP being a $6000 option not including Magride, it's cheaper to upgrade yourself.

Good points which is why I asked about OP’s wants and needs. Throwing a ton of money into a six year old car might be worth it but again then buying a newer car with PP and maybe MR would be the more prudent choice.

As @EFI pointed out, not on a 16’.
I was busy posting my response when he posted his 🤣 but my post points to a member write-up that ends in (likley) failure.

It's not impossible on a '16 (I have a '16 GT350 with Magneride). But the cost of adding it to a 16 GT would be enormous after buying everything to convert it

I would think getting an 18+ PP1 Magneride car is smarter in the long run.

Or, really, just buying new.....with the price of used cars.
