Wondering what it would take to get the Oil temp gauge cluster from a GT350 to work on a 17 GT in place of the PP1 vac gauge.

I would love to put the gauge pack in my 16 with includes the oil temp I believe. I was told to get it to work, I have to modify the tune. I guess that is to get the right info from the ECU to the gauge. However I have a Roush tune so I think I'm SOL but it was a great thought- yours as well. best of luck and hopefully someone chimes in to help ya...

It's plug and play if you already have a PP with the center gauges. The only thing you'll lose out on is My Color on those gauges, they're always white.

If you don't already have a PP, then you need a tune.

So your saying it will read the oil temp ?

Yes, same as the gauge you can pull up in the center of the cluster. It's a calculated/inferred reading though, but most agree it's pretty accurate.

Interestingly, someone who took the GT350 gauges apart reported that they have the MyColor LEDs installed. See here: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/changing-center-oil-gauges-lights.103463/#post-2242240

This has led some people to state that MyColor is supported on the GT350 gauges. See here:https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...temp-gauge-on-2019.114940/page-2#post-2460979 and here: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...temp-gauge-on-2019.114940/page-3#post-2466011

What's lacking is anyone posting a picture of MyColor actually working on the gauges, as opposed to assuming it works because the parts are there. Conversely, someone stating that they installed them and MyColor does no work would also be dispositive.

I've installed the GT350 cluster in my '15 PP and it is indeed plug and play. Ten minute job with beer. Works as intended.

I can't comment on the MyColor part though, I've never changed my lighting colors since I prefer white instruments with red pointers....

Any chance you can try it tonight just to let the rest of us know if it works?

So you took out 1 and installed the GT350 gauges and it works.

Yes, the GT350 gauges function properly in terms of information display (oil temp and pressure) with no other changes, with white backlight.

My car is in winter storage and getting inside it isn't easy at the moment due to other things around it. Pretty sure others on the board have verified that the MyColor functionality doesn't work though.

Yes, a GT350 center guage cluster plugs right in and works. I went one step further and swapped the GT chrome face trim onto the GT350 cluster so it would match. The GT350 cluster is a darker chrome.

How difficult was it to swap the face trim? Is it glued on or does it screw on? I'd much rather have oil temp instead of vacuum.

And therefore the same question. Does it support MyColor, or is it white-light-only even though it has the LEDs?

It's screwed on, just a couple extra screws when you remove your old unit.
