I am about to pull the trigger on a 2011 GT 500. 13K miles. Almost 20 grand cheaper and I can have it this weekend! Tired of waiting around for this Mach 1 that will probably get to me in time to sit in my garage for the winter.

Looks beautiful and Im sure you wont be disappointed. Not to mention you have a perfect platform to build on with SC upgrades etc. if you wanted.

Can you imagine if ford pulled something like that today as a joke? Lol

DO IT. Seriously!
Im going to talk with my dealer today, and see if he can push me to a priority 1. If not, I may walk away from my order. This is a hard decision, I have been waiting since October, like others; but this is seriously getting me worried. Someone, talk me off the ledge...lol

I feel you, man. I'd wait and see if you get something scheduled here in the next few weeks for June/July, but if nothing happens and your dealer's hands are tied, then I'd probably just bail. Although you've been waiting for longer than I have so I wouldn't blame you if you jumped ship now.

I'm low key thinking about just rolling the money I would have spent on a Mach 1 into a V8 F-Type, even though it'd be an extra $10k (and with the possibility of British reliability biting me in the ass)... Somebody tell me it's a bad idea 😂.

I'm just getting impatient as all this news of EVs being the future has the V8 FOMO hitting me big time...

I miss the days of when I walked in my local Austin dealer in March of 2017 and ordered on the tail end just before they stopped taking 2017 orders and the 2018 order banks opened and my 44k MSRP GT Premium PP was $35900 after discounts and my private cash. Car was built in a month.

There was also a time in 2019 just before the pandemic started where Bullitt's were rotting on dealer lots. 15-20k off MSRP to get them off the lots. That was an absolute steal for a beautiful car.
My brother got a GT PP in the middle of the pandemic for an absolute steal. It was GTA stuff lol

FOMO here too. I’m sure the 650 will be nice and I’m also equally sure I won’t like it as much as it will lose a lot of the old muscle car feel and power that was that I wanted from day 1. In fact I was ready to wait in the 650 but the more I researched the mach1 and the possible changes coming I knew what I wanted.

You haven't been waiting even a year yet :) Don't quit on it too easily. It's just stupid time to buy cars when the markets are in a complete havoc...
I know, and the thought of waiting a year infuriates me.

I think most of my anxiety, is the fact that I sold my 03 Mach last September, and our BMW does not hit the fun factor the Procharged Mach did.
Thanks for all the comments, Im having HP withdrawals....:headbang:

Has anyone waiting tried calling or emailing Ford Performance today? I'm wondering if they could see VIN's or a change in status from "Unscheduled" to "Scheduled" without knowing the build date. Just because Ford apparently stopped sending out email notices when your can gets scheduled, wouldn't it still show if your status changed?

I just checked and mine is still "Unscheduled" but, I'd be interested if anyone had their status change, or if they didn't bother scheduling this week due to next week's shutdown.

I dont blame you. If they really aren’t going to let me know about scheduling until the week of the build it might end uo a race to see if I can find another fun car on the lot or in transit at a reasonable price. I’ve started calling around about ZL1s. The only thing that was giving me hope is that I might get a date soon. If it is really going to be crickets until summer… ugg.

I suggest you take a look at Porsche forums. Much more messier

Didn’t they just a bunch of cars in an Atlantic shipment that caught fire?

Yes, like a thousand or so, plus being dependent on Ukrainian factories for the electric harnesses, plus the chip shortages, plus Porsche moving away from sports cars to become a suv and electric car company

Yes lol mostly high end European cars/EVs. I’d be lying If I didn’t say I snickered a bit about EVs causing a fire and clowns whose Bentleys are resting on the ocean floor.
