Planning on either shipping my HP tire/wheel combo home from Grainger and buying an alternative everyday wheel/tire setup to drive home on, or take the Cup2's off and install PS4s. I will only be doing track running very sparingly and the PS4s will do just fine.
Is there much interest out there for takeoff Cup2's with like 5 miles on them? If the dealer will swap them what kind of credit should I expect or demand?

Just to throw this out there, I'm thinking of going with a 285 Square setup to use as my Mach 1 as a daily driver. Nice little 13 mile, twenty minute, one way commute. It's just enough to get things up to operating temp. for a while and burn off the condensation, etc..

I plan to try to sell mine for around $1200 to some COTA track junky around here. Not a good time though because it's not really track season although the weather is still decent here in Texas.

I'd keep them if it weren't for the fact they are not legal for street tire classes in autocross since they're <200TW. I'm planning to just burn them up as I get used to autocrossing a car again, unless they're worth decent money on the used market-which I have not seen.

Im half considering just ordering the wing and wheels ala carte. If you're planning on ditching the cup 2's it is probably cheaper than the full HP.

If you get the whole package aka incl. new springs, the solid rear stabilizer, front lip moldings, rear splash guards then it will kinda equal to the price of the HP from factory. And then there's the unique calibration of the Magneride. But yeah, definitely it is the way, also can be done one by one as wanted.

I sold the Cup 2’s off my PP2 for what I thought was a fair price. Mine had 1300 miles of street use and I got $800 for them. I replaced them with PS4’s and the car is much happier on the road.

The sport cup 2 is the most expensive tire in Michelin’s line up. Let’s just say as a tire dealer the original sport cup cost me right around $1400 the 2 is closer to $1800 that’s cost to buy direct from Michelin...

I just sold some to a buddy with GT350 and he opted for the original due to price difference.

You’ll see sales asking prices all over map. My experience is $700-800 for near new tread is what they transact at

I don't know the Cup 2's are pretty dam happy tires, they do need to be driven .

Requiring a little more from a driver.

I got about 950 for an 1100 mile, non tracked set of PP2 size Cup 2s. Took about a month to sell them on here. I was happy with that because the brand new tires I replaced them with were about $1150.

My Cup 2's have 12 miles on them. Hope to get a good amount. The PS4S after all said and done was around $1500.

I agree that in their element the Cup 2’s are a great tire.
Unfortunately (?) I live in a rural area and see more cows than cornerworkers on my commute.
Not to mention the mud and cowshit the farmers spread all over the pavement...
