We pay tax on purchase only and a 20$ or so yearly tag fee.
yeah but you don't have the 2nd or 3rd most cops per capita in the country (behind NYC and Chicago metro) like we do here in Fairfax County.

Yup, property tax. Although it's based on "value" of the car so each year it drops a few pennies.
Got it now. That really sucks. I thought you were talking about plate registration.

What do you pay for that there?

We have a yearly property tax on cars here in SC as well. My 19' GT/CS is $324 for 2022. My wife's new Volvo is $563. Even when added to my homes property tax I'm still paying 1/10 of what I paid in NJ. In addition sales tax on cars is capped at $500.

Productive evening after work. Had a bit of energy so used it well. Learned last week cabin filters should be changed yearly. Haven’t changed mine yet and have had the car 2.5 years so it was due. Had a K&N air filter in it since near new and wanted to change to AFE and as you can see, it was time or maybe passed time for that as well. Also finally got a torque wrench and checked my lug nuts. None of them moved so I apparently I tighten them plenty. And then washed the week of daily driving off. Got a decent shot with the last bit of sun kissing that beautiful Ruby Red.

Finally found some time to clean up that mess under the hood extractors.

I did the same and sealed the gap between the hood skins to stop water flooding the hood :

What did you use to seal the gap?
