Looks great nonetheless. Black heat extractors just work on the green with stripe.

It's finally stripped nearly back to stock. Took many more days than it should have; starting to think I broke something in my foot over the weekend. NM that; that's a whole other long story.

I'm getting the PCM reset to stock by a local dealership in the morning. Wiping out the PBD tune for good since my nGuage died and I can't restore on my own. Bye bye all my PBD tunes.

Questions for you all that do your own work: what do you recommend for a torque wrench? Old one broke too, go figure. Looking for recs.

The wrench isn't going to be a moneymaker so I don't need the best. Just a solid wrench for a weekend home wrencher.

EDIT: 3/8
Don't cheap out. An inaccurate torque wrench is just an expensive ratchet. 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch drives have different accuracy ranges. No torque wrench is very accurate at near either end of its range. Buy the size where most of your readings will be in the middle of the range. If you are serious you may need more than one size. What you save on the wrench may not cover the cost of a problem the cheap wrench could create.

I keep meaning to get a torque wrench. Haven't lost a wheel yet... I do check my lugs often and the wheels get changed out summer/winter so there's also that. So far not a single lug has even been loose.

You can buy/borrow a torque wrench. Tighten your lugs to the desired torque. Then tighten one until it barely moves. You can get a pretty good feel for what it takes to do them by hand.

I use a 18" breaker bar to tighten my daily wheels to 120#, felt by hand. There is also a little tattletale in that the lug makes a creaking sound when it gets to final tightness.

For track wheels, I tighten them pretty hard with my 24" breaker bar, and then I know I'm at 150#. I'm not a big strong guy, and so I can achieve the spec torque easier this way than with my 18" torque wrench.

NO NEED TO FLAME ME ON THIS - I GET IT ALREADY!

But I do use my torque wrench for all my other suspension bolts. Plus blue threadlock. Plus paint pens for markings.

As soon as I read this and without looking at your location, I knew it was VA. 😂 I hate it too. We even get taxed for our computer at work "property" I'm sure everyone does.

But what sort of tax do you pay when you buy something?
Here in Ontario Canada we have 13% tax on almost every item and service except groceries.
And I am in a 30% income tax bracket too. FML.

Yeah we're all lovers here. Lovers of taxes right and left.

Some parts are cheaper when it comes to property tax though. The boring parts.

I lived in Williamsburg (James City County) Va. The first time we took our dog to the vet, the county mailed me a $15 fee for owning a pet in the county. I was like WTF does it cost the county lol???

Many places those fees pay for other animal control activities. Plus they usually require proof of vaccinations and remind owners when effectiveness of those are about to expire.

Plus, I don't mind my $10 license fees because the vanity plates are free. My dogs wouldn't officially be Howly Berry and Bob Barker without their registration.
