Probably look just as good as a lowered car. The extra sidewall should help ride quality. If he is in snow country the slightly narrower tire will go through snow better, same with heavy rain.

Well considering the Ecoboost tires are 235/50/18 you want to increase the sidewall by another 10. To achieve that height I recommend BFGoodrich K02 265 60 18, and you would have to mount them on a 18x9 for a slight bulge, or 18x9.5 for a snug fit. If you want to keep your stock wheels I'd stick with OEM sizing and get spacers on all 4 corners to increase the height of the car 0.25-0.5 inches.

You nowhere mention what you currently have. Is it 235/50x18? It's 1.3" taller. You were told 28.3 hits the perch not sure other than you trying it yourself will convince you.

After much thought my nxt tires will be 235 55 18. They are 28.17 tall and will give me more rubber between rim and road. Any issues with size with standard springs on a stock v6 Mustang?
No I am not going to cheap out on tires, I intend on getting some all season or touring tires from Sams Club
