There's no reason to believe it's not accurate, unless the sensor itself is malfunctioning. Unlike oil temperature for example which is an inferred value based on other factors, the cylinder head temperature is read by a sensor directly in the cylinder head. While there may be variation from one head to the other and from the front to the back of the head based on coolant flow, whatever the temp is being displayed should be exactly the temp of the actual part.
Do you happen to know the location of the CHT Sensor on 2015-2017 GT’s? Having a hard time finding info.

I have the base radiator and I regularly get into the 220's if I'm going for a spirited drive with the A/C off. Always been like that. If the A/C is on it sits around 200 all day long unless I'm really beating on it. I think a lot of it has to do with the small radiator + the elevation here (low air density is worse at cooling, especially at lower speeds), and those grille shutters that close for economy on the highway and such. Those are forced to open when you have the A/C running. PP cars do not have them so they should run cooler at all times.

Makes sense. The target CHT for in the PCM is 212*, and the fans are just barely running at that temp. It's only around 223* that all the systems are in max cooling mode so that's probably why you top out at that point.

Explains why I bounce between like 225 and 215 most of the time. I assume that when A/C is on the fans are always running so it never really gets a chance to get hot.

Yes, fans are running and the shutters are wide open when the AC is on.

I actually saw a decrease in temps when I removed the engine cover for the power pack install. I do have a pp but before that 210° F was normal. Now on a hot day, if I'm idle it'll shoot up, but driving I sit around 197° F.

2017 GT here, temps have been in low 90s humidity 80% or higher. What temp do fans kick on when AC isn’t running? My CHTs were 215 & below, just want to make sure fans are working as advertised. The heat/humidity is brutal on the coyote!

Target engine temp is 212* and fans start to kick in around 212* but only at half speed.
