Stop topping off your tank and it will fix itself, also wipe the inside lip of the capless fuel cap with a microfiber, you'll be amazed at the crud that builds up in there
Nope. I don't top it off, and it continued to return on my 2015 GT. Easy 5 minute job to replace it. That was a year ago, no issues.

are you joking about someone knocking on your door to buy your car and paying 3x what you paid? are car buyers this desperate?

and good looking ride Matthew!
Not joking at all. I was downstairs on a conference call and heard the bell ring a few times. Got off the phone and came outside to a new Escalade in front of the house and a guy walking around the Merc. I didn't have a FS sign on it, just the rear plate taped in the rear window. He said he was looking for a car for his wife...right. 100% sure he was driving around looking to buy up people's junkers to flip. He had a large wad of 100s with him. Throwing out offers before even unlocking it.

I bought it for her a year ago. But she never got her permit or showed any interest after the first few weeks. I put another ~1,000mi on it since then, but really it's just been taking up space in the driveway. I was going to give it a full detail this weekend; polish out the headlights, the works. Then put it up for sale on CL.

EDIT: She's only lived in cities with good public transportation. Never needed to drive a car before moving in and living in the suburbs. Pretty sure she's scared of the responsibly. Oh well not my problem anymore.

I'm sure I could have gotten double had I done all that, but this was so easy I couldn't resist. Zero effort.

But yes, 3x what I paid for it last year. Minus ~$100 for tax tags and insurance.

Broke up and made money are not usually in the same sentence :)
It's been a difficult but rewarding few days.

Now I just need to post my Radeon VII on eBay and cash in on the crazy prices people are paying for those. Might just post my 2080 Super as well. Cash in and take a break from playing games for awhile. It's not like I have much time for that these days anyway.

Did he give pay you with a briefcase full of those wads of 100s ? :)

'99 E320 with 190,000mi. If it was a briefcase it would have been filled with 1s.

I added front stripes and side scoops.

I love those wheels. I'm tempted to buy a set and send them off to be widened to 11". But I won't. Still love the look though.

More in the unrelated category: I put a new battery in my Lex boat the other day. SexyLexy lives again!

Feels strange driving the landship around again, but I love it and miss it a lot. 11 years and ~100,000mi; quickly feels like home again.

*Landship with a better turning radius than the S550...and any performance minded car. Win.

Today I was able to get the 2019 GT 350 exhaust installed on my 2017 Mustang GT. Sounds awesome. I am fortunate to have great friends. Now I am waiting on my exhaust tips to come in.

Define topping off. Slamming more gas in after the pump clicks off?

I just fill up with 50-75 miles to go, and stop when the pump clicks itself off. Hadn't thought about cleaning around the capless areas, but Ill add that to my fluid check routine.

for like 10 years I always was told leave it on slower click, it'll turn off when full.

Found out where Escalade dude lives; just a street around the corner of us. I noticed that house started flipping cars sometime last year. Always had something new in the driveway being worked on. I had to wait a couple months back as a truck was unloading a Maybach there; gone two days later.

Guy was definitely shady throughout the process. I wouldn't want to buy something from him; don't mind taking his money though.

Your car was totally used as the getaway vehicle in a heist
Honestly I was a bit concerned. Now that I know it's "that guy" I'm somewhat relieved.
