Did Drag racing yesterday, first time in my life. DID 14.311 @ 107MPH(172)KPH.
Focusing on your 60' time to get into the 1.8 range will be your key to getting into the 12's and 112+mph. You can do it, it just takes practice. Good luck!

Threw on my first mod for the stang, the boomba shifter 2 point mount. Hell of a difference. The Barton was out of stock, twice the price, and from what i can tell the same exact thing.
Boomba will do until i decide to get the barton trans mounted shifter.
No more 3rd lockout, i was finally able to rip it for the first time.

Also added wind visors from "wellvisors" to get rid of the high speed buffeting with windows down. Works as advertised, but not the prettiest mod when you notice it. Blends nicely for the most part though.

Finished the install of SR performance lowering springs and installed a set of Shelby CS5 wheels.

Looks great. I think I'm definitely going to go with those CS5 wheels, but in black. One of my favorite designs that I've seen without going super expensive, like Vossen HF-5 or something.

got any pictures of the wind visors from "wellvisors" ? I noticed the buffeting weekend just gone, its quite bad when you get higher in the speeds!

Looks great.
Thinking of getting a set of these for my Mach1
What size are the rims and tyres? (CS5)
What's the poke like?
No rubbing?
Any side shots of the poke.
Thanks
Tires are the original 255/40r19s. They only have 400 miles on them, so decided to use them for a while. I will eventually switch out to a 285/35r19 set. Wheels are 19x9.5... no rubbing at all. Here’s a few pics of the poke...

The tire down photo looks like the tread is pulled back from rim, stretched a bit. Itl fill in perfect with 285

Yes exactly... the original tires on the 9.5 inch rims are stretched just a tad. The 285s will be perfect. But, since this is my weekend/hobby car and is never daily driven I’m going to get a few miles out of the 255s and see how tire prices fluctuate this summer with maybe some good promotional sales and what not.

exactly same thing happened to my car. I put 255/40/19 on my new 19x9.5 and looked same. I put 285's and it filled em in nice and fat.

Booked an oil change at the dealer.

Was there today for a first service (one and a half year old at 20,000 km/12,000 miles), so I could get a stamp in my book that shows things, except possibly oil since I asked them to not change that, and they remember me buying oil filters there regularly, are in order to help possible future warranty issues.

There were no complaints about lack of changing oil from what I guess you call the service writer (?), especially since he remembers me coming buy frequently to buy oil filters, but when I came back to pick up the car again the old issue about oil changes done by myself came up. How I obviously care a lot about the car and could be a great mechanic for all he knows, but it might be better for me to have an official stamp from them documenting the oil changes so there are "no problems if something happens."

I'm not sure it's necessary, but guy has given me a good impression as I've been going to him/this dealer to get my oil filters and other minor parts for a while now, so quite possibly does have me best interest at heart. If it can save me from a lot of hassle if the engine or transmission blows up, and possibly even having to "lawyer up", perhaps it's a decent idea?

In the end I decided to go with having my oil change done there, and booked it for next week (mechanic did not have time at that moment, as it was near closing time and he was busy with another car. Perhaps it was rude of me to not offer to help and do my own oil change in their garage?).

It's less than two months since I changed my oil last time, but the oil life monitor is down to 30% already, so the timing is not too terrible.

Guess I'll be adding a yearly/10,000 miles dealer oil change as a yearly expense from now on, to have an official record of it, and keep doing my own oil changes in between them and logging them as I've done so far. :-/

At least the mechanic will get to see my Ronin oil drain plug in operation, which I suspect will be a new thing for him.

Absolutely no harm in changing your “own” oil and documenting the receipts. Also, I am pretty show they forgot to reset the oil life monitor and hence you’re down to 30% in such short amount of time. Just visiting your dealer so that oil changes are recorded for your car does not mean Ford will honor all possible warranty claims for that engine. Just my opinion!

Thanks. I'm not thinking they'll honour all and everything, but assuming this guy is honest about this (and I can't imagine me doing a oil change there once a year or not will matter anything to him financially or otherwise), perhaps there is something in it as far as Ford Spain is concerned.

The 30% oil life remaining was after my own reset one and a half month ago. Most of the oil life disappeared after my trackday last Sunday.
