A Base 1LT would have a Smaller LCD Display and no Leather on the seats. The 2LT would have addons such as a Technology Package (which would justify the larger LCD), and possibly the same Digital Dash found on the SS Models.

Looks like you know your Camaro packages fairly well. Those are the two interior upgrades on my LT1. Technology Package (Larger LCD) - $900 and Recaro seat package - $1,495.

I didn’t get a Camaro ultimately because of price. But with each refresh they keep looking worse and worse... we’ve considered shopping for a clean 2011 SS to compliment our stable. Or just another motorcycle

Most recent CTS-V is a long wheelbase Camaro with basically all the negatives fixed. ATS-V is a shorter wheelbase one with them fixed, but a turbo 6. Upcoming CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwings should be pretty awesome cars.

I did not know the Recaros could be added to the LT1. When I discovered that the SS I was wanting to purchase was not on the lot, the Sales Rep tried to put me in an LT1 for over 40 Grand. No Technology Package or any additional addons to the car. The interior was the exact image of my 2018 RS. That's when I just left.

Outside of CUE in the ATS-V, I found it one of the best cars I've ever driven. It's very, very good.

It's a hell of a platform. That was the biggest difference I noticed when I was shopping Mustang vs Camaro the first time back in 2016. There was a noticeable difference in handling between an SS and a GT. The acceleration difference wasn't that big.

That Cadillac does look appealing.

I was all over the ATS while I was looking for cars back in 2018. I just hated the Depreciation value of these cars. The 2018 Camaro I purchased was brand new, for a tad over 26,000. Compared to other dealerships in the State of Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina, something had to be up. Well, it was a very clean car, no damage found. It just sat on the lot for months.

So yea, the Handling was just awesome. Lots of confident driving if you needed to maneuver all of a sudden.

But still, my ultimate dream ride would have been for Buick to make the Avista, throw a twin-turbo V6 in it, and call it a Grand National.

Sounds like the LT1 you looked at had a lot of meaningless options. The base LT interior which is standard in the LT1 is rental car grade. Adding the two previously mentioned options, the technology package and Recaros seat package changes the entire look of the interior. With the Recaro seat package, you also get the up-level leather seats for the rears.

With the LT1, most of the up-level features such as the Recaros are available as optional features so you have the ability to not have a rental grade interior.

I can’t agree with that statement. I owned a 2016 GT for 5 years. Stock vs stock, the Camaro is faster throughout the powerband, it’s not even close. The 2018 GT manifold and E85 closed the gap tremendously for me.

I just could not justify driving off the lot in the same car, but with a V8. My GT Premium would be the equivalent to a Camaro 2SS (Leather Heated/Cooled Seats primarily). The Suspension is a night and day difference compared to the 1LT and I would have had the same night and day difference had I been able to purchase an SS (Just no leather seats, but better suspension, larger LCD, and upgraded Digital Dash).

There is an acceleration difference, but to me the difference between 0-60 in 4 seconds 1/4 mile at 12.5 and 0-60 in 4.3 and 1/4 mile at 12.6 is not huge. Camaro SS 1LE vs Mustang GT PP both M6.

The difference between 60 to zero in 93 feet and 1.12 g on the skidpad and 60 to zero in 104 feet and 1.0 g on the skidpad was big to me. Plus I knew if I bought the Mustang I would not be happy with the stock rubber and rims and would have to buy a new set.
