Just looked at their site, you are correct, they are V2 now. Here’s what’s interesting about that.....when I was shopping, I called them and asked why they didn’t have them and they told me that they didn’t feel they were needed, that their flex sections were “of a different stiffness” than oem and BLine (which I asked them about) and would balance out the vibration. Now, here, over a year later, they are offering them. Tired of losing to Bline or did they decide they were needed after all? Ford thought they were, so did Bline,....and Shiftech should have from the get go.
I had the VI on my car with a whipple . I kept the stock resonators and thought it sounded perfect ... for a while .
The flex section eventually developed a leak and it sounded like ass .
I considered several options including,
1. Deleting out the flex section with a straight pipe
2. Fixing the leak /replacing the flex section .
3. Getting a used one (V1) that a member had on sale for $100 plus shipping
4. Get one the BLine one with dampers to replace it .

I decided to have the flex section fixed but while the car was in the ship I remembered Shift tech has “life time “ warranty so I called them and found out they offered a V2 upgrade for $150 off $350 so only cost $200.

The shop did a great job “fixing “it .. they just replaced the section .. and it sounds great again .

I still ordered the V2 with the dampers (it’s cheap) as I plan to mate it with the Magnaflow resonated X pipe I have lying around down the road to see if can get it less raspy at compared with the stock resonator .

Compared to the VI (top pic is of used one I was looking at )the V2 is gorgeous.
Next 2 pics are off their website and bottom is as delivered. It came very well packaged .. thank God as the box was destroyed .. as usual by FedEx.

The ”VI” broke again so I finally abandoned it and had the V2 installed with magnaflow resonator .
I think it’s now perfect .

Is that the 5x11 size? How does it compare to the stock resonators which I think you said you had?

Not sure what size — it’s the same size as the one used magnaflow Tru X .
i knew from my experience with my whipple 18 GT with Mac cat deletes —-it’s a “rasp killer “ - sounds way better now compared with the stock resonator .

No worries, I was just curious as after seeing your post I saw you can buy them from Magnaflow on their own but there were two sizes.

You should definitely get a sound clip going on when you can.

It’s the 11386 . It’s 2.5 in and out and I think It’s restricting power on my 18GT/whipple car . I already bought it for the GT 350 before I realized this but went ahead anyway cause this will never be a max effort car and I know for sure it kills rasp which was badly needed with the flat plane and cat delete .

I am swapping the one on the 18 GT/whipple
to the 12469 which is less restrictive (3 in and out) when I swap in the new motor/with 1 7/8 Kooks headers .

I don’t expect it to kill rasp as much (hope it does ) but I am hoping it is less restrictive. I don’t want a resonator delete which would be least restrictive as I am sure that will be most raspy .
