Went out to zMax again for day 1 of a two day autocross. Super busy event so I only got 3 runs, but my second run was pretty damn good. Only a second off the pace in the F Street class with my essentially stock GT with pp1, magride, and the A10, and it's only my 3rd event in the car.

I'll have video eventually. My 3rd run was..........rowdy.

Detailed it for the first time since buying it. Wash, dry, clay bar, Collinite 845.

Got it to go for a drive and pick up a new pair of boots. Backed out of the garage, and there's bird sh!t all over it!! It was clean when it went into the garage.

Where's that damn no good cat that doesn't live here that walked all over the back of the car (when the car was in MY garage) when you need it.

Ended up stopping at the poeer wash for a quick rinse off before a proper bath tomorrow.

Cleaned it up and put away in storage for the long winter in Northern NY. I'll see it again in March, more like April. Sad day.......................

So if or when ya hit the cones do they do any damage to your car? I'm wanting to get into autocross but not fond of the idea of destroying the front of my car on a cone.

You might see some scuffing on wheels and front splitters. Possibly a bit on the front bumper. Nothing too crazy though. Ceramic coatings or PPF will mitigate most of it if its a concern.

Or you just git gud and not hit anything.

I figure I'll hit a few on the way to getting good....lol. mine is ceramic coated so I'm al ready a step ahead. I have a PP2 so I'd destroy two splitters at a time. I'm pretty good at not hitting things so I should be ok...lol

GT strut bar. Took about five minutes after I realized the convertible does in fact have the metal braces already installed. Google said 41 ft lbs, but I went to 50 by mistake. Any worry about that?

Back them off and torque them to proper spec. Although you should be ok in the grand scheme of things since most torque wrenches are from +-2% to +-4% calibrated.

It’s not uncommon for the mounting studs to snap - back them off and torque them to spec :like:
